This is probably the worst construction company in the business. Dino Adam the owner of the business is extremely unreliable. All he wants its to take your money and do nothing. Once he gets your money you will be at his mercy. Whenever there is another issue that occur, he will ask for more money before he starts work again. Signing a contract is like not signing anything at all. Its like an bottomless pit, where he just asks for more money each time he encounters a issue he cannot resolve. Unless you want to get ripped off and throw away hard earn money, make sure not to use him and this company!

    Verified Hire

Timberland were very slow....They took forever... about 3 months for a possibly 3 weeks job. Quality was good, but I had ended up buying my own plumbing fixtures and paying more for additional structural remifications. The whole process wasn't easy. They were MIA for weeks.

    guest house remodel
    90 days

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor. Dino Adam is not trustworthy and does not comply with CA contractor laws. It starts with he expects payment before work is completed and uses an invalid contract form that does not cite that doing so is illegal. But, his continual lying and failure to honor his obligations are truly unacceptable. He claims not to use subcontractors, which is not true. His communication was completely undependable and he and his crew disappeared for two weeks prior to the contractual completion date even though he was well behind schedule and had said that work would go quickly just the day before disappearing. He was constantly promising things within two weeks and then not even ordering the materials even though I had paid him the money and the supplier needed a few weeks for delivery. He set up an allowance for cabinets that was totally unrealistic and then wanted me to pay more when he couldn't provide them for the price he cited. He also wouldn't refund the lighting allowance when I purchased the lighting myself even though I had told him when we signed the contract that I expected to do this and he assured me there would be a credit. In addition, Dino was rude and patronizing. I had to fire Timberland after Dino after he abandoned the project for two weeks and then walked off the job. I have filed against him for a refund and damages.

In response to Tracy F. Complaint she is claiming my contract is not legal well it was draw up by a real estate contractor attorney! And claims we did not do the work we are contracted to do and she claims me and my crew disappeared for 2 weeks 1. she changed her cabinet to the most expensive ones at the last minute and then wanted to change the color which delays everything then she wouldn't let us in her house to continue on working on the projects we could finish. she left on vacation for 2 weeks and said we could not enter her house.... another delay. When i refused to do a bunch of extras on her home with out a change order she had another fit and cursed us out for the 100th time. Not a pleasant person to work with and we had no chose but to lien her house for the Large amount of money owed to us.... so everything she has said is in reverse and i am having build zoom remove this bogus complaint.

    Kitchen and master bedroom renovation
    $58,000

Let met start that no one should ever hire this company for doing any type of work. Dino is a liar as he cannot provide quality work. He has no full time workers and hires workers from Craigslist. On several occasions didn't pay his workers. Police were called to my house by one sub. Paid with insufficient funds, then cancelled the check to another worker. He didn't clean up each day after his work. He failed to supervise his crew and didn't always provide the supplies they needed to do the job right. He took materials from the house that the owner paid for. I needed to pickup materials for his workers. He doubled the price of kitchen cabinets even though he included markup and profit to his bid. He wouldn't show me the price paid until the vendor did. Then he failed to finish this remodeling job. This was a 45 day job and couldn't finish it in 120 days. Complaint filed with CSLB.

Although we had issues with the bathroom floor Timberland installed in a guest house we contracted them to build, we were able to come to an agreement with Dino, and it was resolved to our satisfaction. That is the reason for the 3 stars, otherwise, he also did a bathroom remodel for our main house and that turned out beautifully.

Thank you Timberland Construction for helping my family and I develop our home. Not only did the project turn out as expected, you were always easy to get in touch with and very respectful of my family's time. I will recommend all my friends and family to you.

Dino does not tell the truth and he uses unlicensed electricians and plumbers. After the job is done, he does not follow up on additional repairs. I have waited for him several times when he said that he was going to show up and he does not show. The structure, however, looks nice, but he cuts corners on the expensive parts of the job. If you use him, get your own plumber and electrician. Also, don't rely on him to show up when he says he will.

I'm moved to give this company a glowing review for their work on my home ahead of time. I don't expect anything to change. Timberland and their team has outperformed my expectations every time. First off,Dino is not an email sort of guy so if your want to communicate do it by phone. That said, Dino answered every of my phone calls and is great at what he does, which was coordinating and leading my remodel to completion. He has fulfilled every promise he made to me so far, I've never had to push or complain to get results!. I'm confident to say I've chosen well this time. I'm also happy about my decision not to parcel out the work separately to an electrician, a plumber, flooring installer, etc. in order to "save" money, but to allow a general contractor take care of the project from start to finish. They did top-notch work. Whatever little difference between Dinos quote and others I've been given was totally worth it. I must admit the I can say much more but to sum up,necessary permits, Couldn't ask for a better company!
