Carlos Niega hired me to install a pool fence in May of 2018. Not only did we do the work, but we provided him the necessary paperwork to pull the permit he needed for his inspection. This job was in Wellington. I had never done any work for him before and seemed legitimate when speaking to him over the phone. He needed it rushed so we complied. I didn't see the point in taking any deposit as the job was completed within a few days of our initial contact, and was only $850. Our verbal contract was all i needed to do such a small job and he gave no indication of being shady. However, he has yet to pay and now tells me to lien the property as he has nothing to do with it. Now, after months of invoicing him both hard copies and emails he tells me to bill the homeowner. Which at the time was BNY Mellon Bank. I never had any contact with he bank, ever. He has repeatedly dodged me for months, and often telling me the check was in the mail, or his office had sent it. Now, (when i call from an unknown number) he flat out denies the entire thing. I will live without the $850, but this is a terrible way to treat fellow contractors. Not sure how this guy is still in business. I plan to spread the word as best i can about his thievery, ignorance and dishonesty. I have emails and text to back up my story. I own Life Saver Pool Fence.
