DISASTER - DO NOT HIRE
We regret having to leave this review, but Tip Top Renovations has left us no choice. A year ago, we hired LaShaun Alexander ("LA") to renovate our bathroom. 12 months in, our bathroom is still unfinished. LA repeatedly failed to show up to work, lied about what work had been done, and would disappear and ignore our attempts to reach him for months at a time before eventually ghosting us entirely. We now realize that he drastically overpromised work beyond his ability. Worse still, LA failed to communicate and refused to admit when he was in over his head. He was extremely disorganized and constantly had drama with his subcontractors (which would sometimes result in screaming matches between him and his workers on our property). We very much wanted to support this small business and gave LA a dozen chances. But our patience has finally run out, and we can no longer put up with LA's constant excuses and obvious lies. At this point, we have given up any hope that Tip Top Renovations will complete our project and simply want to help others avoid the same disastrous experience.

DO NOT HIRE
We signed a contract with LA and Tip Top Renovations for a large remodeling project (greater than $50k) in September 2022. We wanted to get our kitchen remodeled by the end of the year and we specifically went with LA because he promised us that the remodeling could be completed in that timeline. Since then, it's near impossible to get him to communicate timelines and respond to us. Several of our texts, phone calls, voicemails, emails have gone unanswered. He is extremely disorganized and frequently makes excuses about the work that's been completed. There was absolutely zero project management. This has created such a stressful experience for us that we will be wary of all contractors in the future. At this point, we have no hope for our work being completed or getting our deposit back. We want to save others the trouble of going through this process.
