Very unprofessional guy. Poles were installed not deep enough and fence is loose, pickets coming apart they only used one nail per picket. The gate came apart and they don’t even want to fix their crap workmanship. They lied offering you a 2 year warranty and the fence didn’t stand not even a whole year and they don’t back their work. I will never recommend this people stay away.

We actually had a really nice fence that we decided to replace as part of our pool-building process. Huge mistake. I can not understand how all of these other customers had such great experiences when we did not. Besides our pool builder, this is hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. But even our pool builder actually finished the job.
For our board-on-board privacy fence…
Here are all the things he did do:
* Left footprints from the stain on our concrete pads
* Used sub-par 2x4 pieces that ended up splitting and cracking where the hinges were installed to the point the bolts were popping out
* Added water to the stain to thin it out presumably to avoid having to buy more (more on the stain in the didn’t section)
* Disappeared for weeks at a time without communication of next steps
Here are all the things he didn’t do:
* Didn't show up on the day he said they would be there to start the fence and didn’t call to advise of the delay
* Didn't cull the planks that shouldn't have been used — some were cracked down the middle, and several were splintered with large cuts on the sides. (see pics)
* Didn't properly and consistently space the planks — some were too far apart which left large gaps (see pics)
* Didn’t ensure planks were cut to the same lengths leaving gaps at the bottom of the fence (see pics)
* Didn’t nail the planks to the middle 2x4 support in various sections
* Didn’t show up on the day he said he would to stain
* Didn’t purchase the stain we agreed to — luckily I caught that before he started
* Didn’t finish the stain, then went weeks without returning before coming back to do another partial section, then disappeared for weeks again before doing a partial section, then again
* Didn’t ensure overspray wouldn’t collect on other surfaces in our yard (concrete pool decking & travertine stone)
* Didn’t remove vegetation that had grown between the planks due to all the time gaps in work which resulted in stencils (see pics)
* Didn’t initially build the gates to open out as required by code for a pool even though he had been advised that would be required
* Didn’t initially get a permit which resulted in a red flag code violation during our pool construction
* Didn’t properly nail down the top caps at their ends which resulted in bowing
* Didn’t finish the project — we had to hire another contractor to finish the job and correct the poor workmanship
I don't know why we were treated the way we were as customers — especially from one veteran to another. I feel horrible that I recommended him to a neighbor before realizing what a poor job was done. I finally had to inform JD at one point that he needed to officially stop work and come collect his belongings of multiple drop cloths and a step stool. As of this review, he has still never came to pick them up.
