my experience in dealing with TLC builders was horrific,they were re-building the kitchen at the hotel molokai, which adjoins my property...they needed access to the site, as well as storage space for their building materials....i was nice enough to help out, since this project would be beneficial to the people of molokai...from 9/2014 - 6/25/2015 they occupied my property and the project was deemed completed by the notice filed in the local molokai paper as of 6/1/2015...although they ( TLC ) never informed me of the completion date...i found out by reading the local paper...after asking them to vacate my property since the job was done, it took them an aditional 25 days to do so...and after a site walk through with the owner Tom , regarding the clean up schedule he assured me that they would be done and out by the end of june a full month longer than agreed too...and with no compensation for the extra months delay...they left the place a mess, and they were to have returned the property to it's original condition...i took 29 pictures of the debris and site damages...among the list of contaminants left for me to deal with... is hydraulic oil spills,diesel fuel spills, paint bucket and roller/brush wash out emulsion...and concrete wash and left overs after the numerous concrete pours....not to mention the wear and tear to my yard and the removal of my property line fence...which was never reinstalled ...another added expense for me to bear...and not to forget, but the added pile of tree stumps and boulders from their construction and excavation, that i will need to pay to have removed...i gave Tom the opportunity to clean up , and after 2 days of work, i was still left with a mess and additional clean up costs...i finally had to ask them to leave and to not return,due to his threatening nature when i questioned him about the quality of the clean up and the completion of the needed work still left to be done....this will cost me anywhere from $2500-$4000 out of my pocket to bring my property back to it's original state...I do not recommend doing any business with TLC, as they will make a lot of empty promises and then make excuses, and or do a poor job when it comes to honoring their promises...in my opinion there is absolutely no integrity after the job is done and the checks have been cashed, i can go on for pages but dealing with this has me exausted...and i am an elderly man, that is living on a small fixed social security 100% disability income.Writing this review is the only recourse that i have.
