If you don't want to get ripped off by these people, (TLC Home Remodeling & Precision Deck) run away as quick as you can. I read a couple of reviews on this Company and decide to give them the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to build a garage with a deck on top of the garage since I was taking my yard for the garage this individual came in as a friendly and capable person. told me he knew what I want and that he was fully capable of doing it Well!! we agreed on a Project cost of $55,000. and handed a check for $15,000 to Julia Gould on 1.13.2021 (Office manager) on March 3 months later I reach out to ask him where we stand with the project- he told me he had put in for permits and was waiting on that
another two months passed I call my township & euro of veritas myself to find out- it happens they had not submitted for permit him and his (wife/girlfriend) had been laying to me for months. when I finally told him to give me my money back - he came in with an architect to get measurements mind you he stated he submitted for permits!!! lies lies and more lies. architects not Eric nor Julia at TLC
tells me I need to get my property survey to get the land measure and setbacks properly done. cost me another $1,400 Finally the architect gets the drawing on Sep 10. Mr. Coldwell at TLC tells me again that Julia the office manager had submitted the drawings for permits but since I already know these two are a pair of big fat liars, I call bureau of veritas myself and guess what! they did not submit my drawings for permits I got furious and demanded my money back once again. Erick Promised me Julia had put in for city permits when they had not. well- the day after she does, I submit to get the permit for my community as well to obtain Permit to cut down two trees that are on the way. This guy's text me and tells me Julia is redoing the contract- I was like what, what contract- he goes well all the prices for materials and labor has gone up and your project will not cost 55K to build but 113K I blew a gasket and demanded my $15K back. Chased this Man and this company since Sept 15 To give me my money back. I went to an ATTY and the ATTY i went to knows these two very well. My atty said to me this man and this company are incapable of performing the task they were contracted, and they changed the contract and wanted me to sign.
My point and I'm sorry I told half the story - Run from this Guys If you don't want to get ripped off your hard-earned dollar
These people used to operate out of Philadelphia & I could only wonder why leave city of 5 million. I have nothing but headache with them to today I have not gotten my money- they said they paid the architect $8500 for drawings when I reach out to the architect, he stated he could not give me a copy of the drawings because he has not gotten pay. ,(TLC Home Remodeling & Precision Deck)
I hired a company that will be doing both my garage and my ruff for less than- got a start and end date for the project.
,(TLC Home Remodeling & Precision Deck) They will say I couldn't afford it!!!! Why would I give them $15k upfront if I couldn't- they wanted me to sign a contract 3 times what we agreed upon. Save yourself some time and stay away from this people

Regarding TLC Home Remodeling/Treadwell Enterprises/Eric Treadwell - this was absolutely the worst contractor experience I have ever had. Bar none. From the start, immediately began going over budget, issuing change work orders, etc. Then, when about half of the job was finished, said that his crew were going to walk out on the job unless the final installment on the contract was paid by the next day. Threatened that he would come after me for tens of thousands of dollars more that he said he had "discounted" the job by. When I paid in full, he and his crew stopped showing up. Each week he had a different excuse - material delays, his crew came down with COVID, there was a snowstorm, etc. - but he kept saying the job would be finished "by the end of the week, boss" This went on for over 6 months, until I filed a lawsuit. He avoided being served by changing his business address, but when we became aware of the suit, he called a swore up a storm, saying that he was going to sue me back. The next day was the first day in months and months that anyone from his crew showed up to work on the place - they did a few bits of spackling. Even worse, the contractor I hired to finish the work identified a bunch of problems with the work he'd done - everything from shower fixtures mis-installed to mis-wired electrical wires and outlets, a broken refrigerator, a missing stove, a dishwasher placed in such a way that a nearby cabinet couldn't be opened, missing deck pieces, etc. If you ever come across this guy, run the other way as fast as you can before he takes you for a ride.
