I signed a contract with Ms. Tammy Stevens back to Aug 23, 2012 for redo concret driveway, walk path plus front porch. She quoted $8,700, we signed the contract, Tammy took $2,000 deposit at the same day.
I have called her many times in 2013 trying to get the work done, it was very hard to get hold of her after she took the deposit.
Finally she sent a person, Mr. Gomingos B. Oliveira came to my house to do the work in December 2013. Mr. Oliveira gave us an invoice $10,850. we paid him $9,000 right away, since Tammy still keep the deposit $2000, she should give the money either to him or back to us, but she refused to do so.
She said she doesn't do concret work, so she asked another company to come to do the work. Then:
1. If Tammy never do concrete work (I found out she only do asphalt, never do concrete work), how can she sign contract with consumer for concrete work? And she took deposit?
2. Mr. Oliveira said, he is not Tammy's contractor, Tammy just called around looking for somebody to do my work. This is very odd.
3. In what position she earn $2,000 from me? she should not sign a concret contract from beginning, she has no position to hold $2000 not to giving to Oliveira or giving back to me. I can call around to find a concret company to do my work.
I went to the court, I won the case, she needs to return $2000 deposit to me but she refused to respond. I hope she sees this post soon. cindy
