Please do yourself a favor and do not hire this company. The work they did was deplorable. I hired them to solve a leaking problem. It was in an area where two valleys met. The water was leaking in my crawlspace. He first thought it was an area where the facia board met the brick of my house. He charge me $350 to caulk around this area. It was black caulking that stuck out like a sore thumb. After the first rain came, the area still leaked. So, he came back and got on my roof and decided that the leak was originating from a piece of facia board. He asked for a $350 deposit, which I gladly paid,Thinking I would get a professional job. The total price you want to charge me was $1500 but he knocked off $150 because his first repair did not work. I was not able to stay home that day from work so I saw their work after they left the property. I was horrified when I came home and saw the finished repair. They took a piece of sheet metal and swooped it up and around the outside of the facia board where he felt the leak was originating. Therefore it was a black piece of sheet metal right over the facia board. Then they took tar and slapped it on the side of the brick of my house very sloppily. If that’s not enough, they took a piece of sheet metal and overlapped it over my roof by about three or 4 inches. The finished repair was most likely not to code. I now have to hire another company to demo the work that they did and do it correctly. However, they may have damaged the brick on the side of my house by putting tar or whatever car like roofing material they used. Again I would not hire this company to repair anything, let alone a roof.

I called this company for a leaking roof. I said they could come the next day. They insisted on coming out that day. I told Tom Gant what time I would be home from work. When I got home Tom was already on my roof putting up a tarp. Where he was placing the tarp was not needed. So then I told him where the tarp was needed. He placed a second tarp where the actual leak was. I couldn't believe he charged me $375. For one the first tarp was unneeded. We then came to a agreement on payment on a tarp that I didn't need. He stated off as a nice guy. Then when I received my fist check from my insurance company he did a 360. Looking at a two party check the had to be approved by my mortgage company. He wrote me a contract and said I needed to write him a check for half the amount ($6800.00) and a post dated check for the balance. When I told him that wasn't going to happen he became irate and said that I needed to return the insurance check or I could be arrested for Insurance fraud. He called me poor and said I was unable to afford a new roof. Either he is a scam artist or hasn't a clue on how a insurance claim works. Please beware of scam artist like this company.

Project: Repair an Asphalt Shingle Roof
Comments: Tom is amazing! Responded immediately to a roof leak in our master bedroom during a torrential rainstorm on a Saturday afternoon. Offered to come out during the rainstorm-which we declined, but then offered to tarp the area if we wanted. He set an appointment, followed up with a text to confirm, and showed up on time. Immediately walked the roof, found the issue ( along with a few other issues we would have had to deal with eventually), took pictures while on the roof to give us an idea of what we needed repaired, and once we agreed to the work, did what we needed that afternoon. His price was reasonable and his workmanship exceptional! Truly restored our faith in hiring an honest, capable contractor! He is one of a kind and most definitely deserves your consideration when looking for someone who is competent, considerate, and capable!
