    Enthusiastic praise for Tom Martin and Son

    Tom Martin and Son recently completed a total renovation of an old house for us on Seabrook Island. A few years ago, I watched the renovation of the house of some friends which was taking place across the golf course from my villa. I remarked to my husband that if we ever needed work done in the future, that group of contractors. would be my choice. The homeowners were not in Seabrook, and the workmen arrived very day at the same time, worked hard all day, and cleaned up the site before ending for the day--and the day never ended early!

    So when we bought a house that needed complete renovation, Stuart Spisak, our real estate agent, told us that there was one company which he recommended. I replied, "I already know who I want--whatever company worked on Garvey's house is the one I am going to hire." Turns out we were both talking about Tom Martin.

    To say that we are thrilled with our home and indeed were thrilled with the entire process is the truth. Tom, Tommy, and Jill Frey (brought aboard by Tom and a brilliant designer as well as a wonderful person) listened to us, understood our dream for the house, kept us informed, and were as honest, hard working, creative and kind as they could be. And they seem to attract sub-contractors as excellent as they are. Each new group was as talented and motivated as the last. All were a joy to work with.

    And when the job was completed-exactly when we were told it would be- Tom told us that they would be available at any time in the future to perfect anything that might need it, or to give us some help with anything around the house.

    I should add that Dawn Martin was terrific with answering questions, sending detailed billing, and getting back to us.

    I cannot recommend this group enough. As others have said in their reviews, we now consider the Martins valued friends. I don't think there is any higher praise than that, after an nine month renovation which presented them with a few challenges. The Martins are truly good people. as well as excellent at what they do.
