By Rick H.November 7, 2022Paint rooftop$2,700
They stopped by my shop and arena and offered to paint it for $2,700 said they would use a rubber coating with a 25-year warranty. They also said that it would work on shingle roofs and part of my shop I had a shingle roof. They painted the two roofs I noticed that the arena rooftop was painted very thin it did not have the 10 mil thickness that they claimed it would have and the back side was even thinner as it was the last part they did. The front shop they painted half of it did not finish the front half. When I called him about this he said he was still in the area and would come back and finish it. as you can guess he never showed up and every time I called he would not answer I had a couple of phones so I managed to call on a different phone and he answered one day and I told him he needed to get back and fix my rooftop I was tired of this. He took $2,700 and did not do any of it right my rooftop leaks it looks bad and he is a con artist.

Tommy Carroll showed up at my farm and said he had an elastomeric roof coating with a twenty year warranty. He handed me a sample of elastomeric roof coating. It was just what I wanted. We agreed on a price and since I had an out of town appointment, I left a check for him. When I returned home, Imagine my surprise to find that he had sprayed my shop with cheap aluminum paint, not elastomeric roof coating. He will not answer my repeated phone calls. Beware of Tommy Carroll. He is a scam artist and I am going to do my best to make him famous.

Then he wanted payment via check made out to him personally so he did not have to claim this. This guys is a total con-artist BEWARE !!!

Tom Carroll painted 2 roofs at my farm. I am an elderly woman and he left 4 containers of trash for me. Shame on him for doing this especially to an elderly woman or anyone! I recommend staying clear of anyone with such an ethic.

By Bob I.July 7, 2021Metal Roof and Barn Painting$2,700
Tom Carroll and his team have been painting my barns in NY since 1986. He has always had a more reasonable price than other contractors. I will continue to use his company for barn and metal roof paining for as long as he continues to work in Western New York. My old barn roofs were brown with rust when he first started painting them and it took a couple yearly applications to keep all the rust spots from coming through anymore. Now we have a good schedule established and the rusted areas are gone.

Painted my barn roof. There was very little rust. He said rust would not come through. Paint coming off and a lot of rust showing. Warranty 10 years. He painted in 2014 and paint and rust problem started 2017. Made many attemps to contact. Phone numbers did not work or man said this was not his business. Company went off line. Reported to BBB and he never responded to them. I would not recommend. Also goes by Matt Carroll Painting Contractor out of North Augusta, SC

Scammer, my 2 year old grandson could have done a better job painting our barn, This guy painted over vines, windows, light fixtures, and door knobs. Left all their trash and buckets in my yard, needless to say we DID NOT pay him. Please if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Tommy Carroll and several others out of North Augusta, SC are running around the East and giving deals to paint roofs. They painted a rental next door to me and it looked good so I agreed to have my carport painted. After pressure washing they requested some money for the rental and the paint for the carport. I gave them half the money and haven't seen them since. Poor painting is one thing, stealing money is another. Here is a list of the scammers: Jim Sherlock

Tom Carroll came to our farm & painted our big barn years ago, did a fine job. Since has painted galvanized roofs on several of our buildings over the years and I have no complaints. The paint has lasted as long as expected. I know he has a transient crew, I know he doesn’t use the most expensive paint, I know that some have accused him of being a scammer but that has not been my experience so far.

Young kid pulled in was a little weary at first offered to paint my roof and sides of barn in the back for 2350 and I was very satisfied had a list of recommendations And I choose to have it down and I was very satisfied the barn looked great quick and on time and the job lasted. I have had them back 2 times since then to do work and always satisfied. Very friendly and always stop in to check the work. Over five stars all the way .

By RachelMarch 22, 2017Pole Barn Painting$3,0002 days
The contractors presented to my farm stating they were in the area painting roofs for another person down the road. They noticed the roof of my pole barn having some rust spots and had some left over paint. They quoted me a price to paint the roof, with a 10-year guarantee. I have some other pole buildings on another property that they quoted me a price for. I noticed within 5 days, there were some areas on the other pole buildings that were sprayed to lightly, as well as some of the paint on one of the buildings that was peeling. Not to mention, later that week we had a good rain, and the pour off from the pole barn roof was white wash off. I called they said they were in another town (about 45 miles away) but would come back by when they finished jobs there. They never showed up, and when I tried calling again I received no answer. After leaving several messages I received no return call. Eventually, when still attempting to reach them, the phone number is no longer in service.
In looking on the BBB they are not listed with BBB, and there are several people that have reported the same experience. Consumers beware they are scammers.

By Jill W.September 10, 2016Metal barn & garage roofs.$1,0251 day
Yes, I would recommend Tommy Carroll's painting service. They painted my barn roof. But part of the back side of the roof needed a bit more coating which I didn't notice until after they left. Which I believe they sprayed too lightly trying not to get spray on a metal roof below it that didn't need spray painted. Rained next day. Paint stayed on & roof looks great.
A couple days after they left, I noticed my garage roof needed it too. I called them, they were still in my area & they came back to do garage roof and resprayed the part of barn roof that needed an extra coating for no extra charge & cleaned off some overspray droplets that adhered to the red metal part of the barn. Which was very little. They took all paint buckets with them as I had requested at the start of the job.
I am pleased with their work & would have them repaint my barn & garage roofs when needed again. They gave me a guarantee for paint lasting for 9 yrs on my barn roof & 7 yrs. for the garage roof. The term of guarantee depends on what kind of metal your roof has & how rusted it is.
They also did my neighbors, 4 silo's and have painted barns in my area for years. I've heard no complaints from any neighbors about their work.
Therefore, I give them 5 stars. I live in the Northern part of Michigan.

Use this painting company to paint barn and shed roof. There was rain in the forecast. He said he was going to paint and said if it was going to rain, he would repaint it rained right after he painted and did not repaint. Use them in the past no problems, however, has a tendency to overspray.
