Tom or "Tommy" at one point prior to 2012 owned a different company or operated under a different name. It was called "Champion Chimney Enterprises Inc. The old phone number was 631-780-6307. I WANT EVERYONE TO SEE THIS REVIEW. We were 100% scammed by Tom.
We called for a chimney sweep, after he "inspected" our chimney he produced photos on his cell phone of a DIFFERENT customer's chimney. At the time I had not realized this because I had not looked down my own chimney before nor did I go on the roof to verify his photo was of my chimney. Naive of me? Maybe...or I just didn't want to believe there were people this dishonest in my area.
Long story short he provided a quote insisting I needed a stainless steel liner and cap. No problem, I figured it's needed and let's get it done. HERE IS WHERE THE SECOND PORTION OF THE SCAM STARTED...
In stead installing a 6" SS liner (as outlined on my quote from him in wriiting - which I still have and will gladly post if requested) he installed a 5.5" GALVANIZED liner. As if that wasn't enough the install itself was amateur at best. The connection elbow leading to the boiler room was not connected!
How did I find all of these things out? Glad you asked. We were experiencing drafting problems after his install. We called FOUR different chimney companies to inspect and diagnose. ALL FOUR FOUND THE SAME EXACT ISSUES I MENTIONED ABOVE.
Needless to say I would NEVER hire this dishonest thief again. He put my family in danger and cost me another $1,700 to correct his shoddy work. All so he could make a few more bucks? Pathetic. That's stealing. That's criminal. It took me until now to find his "new" company information.
Very much looking forward to getting my money back and letting my attorney deal with this scam artist. I'll be helping future potential victims from going through the nightmare we did.
Shame on you guy, you are not a good person back then regardless of how you may or may have not changed since then.

A friend recommended Tommy after I was told by another contractor that my chimney needed major amounts of work. He showed up on time, inspected the chimney and took pictures to show me what needed to be done. It wasn't half as bad nor as pricey as the last contractor previously stated. I highly recommend him and will be calling next year to get my gutter and chimney cleaned.
