Toms general contracting

Tom did a job for us in Aug 2018. He was prompt and replaced our kitchen roof and fixed the leak on our flat roof. He said we had a 50 year warranty for the stuff he put on the flat roof. Hired him again in 2019 to fix our ridge vent. No issues yet.

It started raining a few weeks ago and the flat roof is leaking AGAIN where it was in 2018. Called, e-mailed and texted him. Nothing. Silent. Not sure where my warranty went but I would definitely think about finding someone else. He’ll take your money but won’t follow up with issues you might have later on. Would love to find someone who will honor their jobs. I hope I don’t have bats in the spring with the amount of money I paid to have him fix my ridge vent.

I Contacted Tom's General Contracting through Home Advisor. He was prompt
in showing up and starting the work. However, the work,which consisted primarily of installing a new gutter was neither started nor completed. I have been calling him for more tan 4 weeks and I have continual excuses ( he was buying a new home and he had many forms to fill for a loan and that was taking much of his time. He now refuses to return my calls and has (previously) said that he cannot complete the job for the quoted amount.
reimburse me the money that I paid him. I would not hire this company for additional work nor would I recommend him to other homeowners.

Contracted with Tom to have my driveway redone. He subcontracted the work and it was a disaster. He agreed the work was awful and subcontracted with a different group to redo the concrete. While this was happening the framing to my garage was pulled out, the second driveway was not installed level to the garage floor and that created a sizable gap between the new driveway and the steps to the house. There is also an issue with the landscaping which he promised to restore and has not. He made arrangements several times to remediate and has not kept any of those apppointments. Now he isn't returning my calls. So disappointed
