    Lawn care tree trimming
    $700

OK so I usually don't right bad reviews but I feel I need to on this one. I called Tony to come mow our yard because I found a yellow ad in my yard one morning I thought it was litter but it was a door flyer I think that got blown in my yard. So on the flyer it says he will come do the mowing and yard maintenance 2 times a month for 45 dollars. I said hey thats a pretty good deal. I also wanted a tree trimed back because it was getting close to some power lines I literally could do this my self with a kitxhen knife thats how small a job it was, but thought hey I will support a small bussiness give him a few extra bucks and I not worry about. When TONY showed up he was not the guy I talked to on the phone, I know this because he spoke very broken english and the person I talked to spoke fluent english. He walked around the yard with a clip board and pointed at some rasberry bushes I just planted and asked if they stay or go then went in back to look at the tree that needs trimming and then started to fill out a estimate I kind thought this was weird for the size of the job but I didn't say anything I figured everyone has there own process. But then he came at me with a $700 dollar total. He wanted. Over $500 to trim the branches that I could have done in the time I wrote this review, and $110 to mow my lawn every time!!!!! So I ask what about the $45 for twice a month and he said my lawn was to big??? If my lawn is too big to qualify, be aware YOURS IS TOO! My lawn is not big I am on liability I am not rich I can not afford a huge chunk of land. My lawn is not even medium big its SMALL. About the size of a dog run. So if you got one of those flyers be aware that he does not honor his ad. Now he may be the best lawn care genius known to man I will never find out, because I dint do business with people that lie. And to me that was a lie. Hmm should have known I was trying to be lazy and dish off some of my to do list to someone else. My fault really.

Mow and trim a small lot every other week
    $90

Great mowing, not so great service

They do a terrific job of mowing and trimming. Minh, himself, has a very difficult time with English, but this partner (son?) speaks fluently, if somewhat hesitantly. When Minh doesn't understand us, he just tends to raise his voice more and more, using such words as "contract" and "bill."

For example, they began showing up at 7:30 AM, and we told them we sleep until 10 and don't want to awaken any neighbors at this hour. Telling him to come at 10 didn't work for several cuts--we'd argue and argue about the time, with Minh insisting they'd show up when they were or compromising a half hour. Made it seem like we owed THEM the favor. Finally they started coming in the afternoon, and things have been fine. Also, they come every two weeks, regardless of the need to mow. Sometimes the lawn gets incredibly long, others it doesn't need mowing at all, especially this past hot summer.

Their prices seem exorbitant, but they are relatively competitive for this region. They demand a season contract, with a double payment due for the first cut, then a payment for two cuts, in advance, every other time. They take check only if it's NOT made out to the business name. Also give cash discount (no tax).

I'd suggest checking out the competition, just to see if you can avoid the language issues that leads to confusion that's bound to influence your satisfaction with their job.
