    Build custom home

    We contracted w/Toolan Development to build a custom home in Dec. 2020. Moved in Dec. 2021 even though house still not complete. (Item #36 on contract- working shutters not yet built or installed). Assured during walk through (November 2021) that everything would be complete by end of January. Made final payment in Dec. 2021 (less 5,000.00 until Punch list completed). At this time (March 2023), Punch List is still incomplete.
    -no hot water to dishwasher; grout was used along back of kitchen sink instead of silicon, which is now cracked, chipping, and falling out; grout in floor of guest bathroom is pulling away from tile; mortar in foyer brick floor cracked and chipping. Toolan Development attempted to repair but used wrong color mortar (grey instead of cream). No further attempts to correct; chip in edge of laundry room granite sink countertop; working shutters finally built and installed (June 2022) but only one set (6 sets total) had the hardware installed on the back to keep them secure. However, this proved to be inadequate as the hardware is too short and won’t hold shutters closed; have had to change battery twice in a year on a hard wired smoke detector in kitchen. There are additional items on Punch list not listed here. Can not recommend Toolan Development. No Business Integrity (as defined) exhibited.
