As you stated, a natural disaster event happened in the Spring of 2019. The windstorm at that time caused the damage to the entire house and garage, which resulted in a full roof replacement by a different roofing contractor at your hire. The City of Yacolt, as you have stated has all records of the approved work at the time of completion. Thank you.

Vincent Lee Wilcox of Top Guard Roofing replaced the garage and porch roof on my rental in 2015. The work was approved by the Building Inspector for the Town of Yacolt, Michael Monen. Payment was made to Top Guard Roofing. A wind storm hit this same rental in March of 2019 and the roof of the house was damaged to a degree it needed full replacement. It has become apparent Vince did not replace the garage and porch roof according to code and the Building Inspector approved the installation falsifying the Final Inspection Report. During a rain storm last week the roof Vince replaced began to leak. The company who replaced the roof came back out Saturday, September 7, to inspect. Their photo's the other roofing company took indicate Top Guard Roofing did not follow code and standard approved building techniques related to flashing on the garage and kicker boards and flashing where the porch roof meets the house. I have contacted Vince via email and he is refusing to return to correct. I've issued a Public Disclosure Notice with the Town of Yacolt but the are also not responding. The Transaction Date is the Date of Damage. I am requesting this roofing company returns and fixes their deficiencies at their expense. I will be following up this review with a Consumer Complaint and with the Better Business Bureau.
