We hired Andy to install two cement walk ways that we would have stamped and colored. One was a 50ft walk way the other was a 25 foot walk way. While he did complete the work the quality was not at the level that we paid for. Andy was clearly more interested in completing the work in a way that fit his schedule so that he was able to get to another job that day, and less concerned with doing a quality job that met our expectations. When Andy came to our house to look at the job he and I discussed a few things that I wanted with our walkways. The first thing that I wanted him to do was make sure that the patio was flush to our deck to ensure there would be no width growth between the two. Andy assured me that this was not a problem and that he would make sure that it happened. The next thing I wanted him to do was to bury a conduit line that ran were the pad would be installed. Andy said that was no problem and he would make sure that it got dug out in order to accommodate my requests. However when I came home to see the work he completed I was completely disappointed. Not only did he not dig out the pad area to make sure the deck and the patio were flush, there was a four inch gap between the two. To make matters worse instead burying the conduit he lifted it up and ran the conduit through the top of the pad because I assume that was easier and faster than burring it. There is no way burry it now, and no possible way to hide it. To make matters worse he allowed our cats to run all over the pad and put foot prints in the cement. He was too concerned about getting to his next job in order to make sure the cement had set up properly. The quality and craftsmanship didn’t get any better as we make our way to the front. Andy laid the cement out for our 50ft walkway however he didn’t accurately calculate the dry time for the walk way so the stamping gets progressively shallower and shallower as you walk from the back to the front of the walk way. He also didn’t use retardant to delay dry times because this would have delayed him leaving to get to his next job. It is so bad that the start of the walkway has no texture what’s so ever. Andy gave us a terrible excuse in order to try to explain his very poor work. Andy stated that stamped concrete isn’t supposed to be consistent throughout. We paid to have TWO walk ways that were consistent in BOTH COLOR and TEXTURE, instead we got three different textures and three different colors. Andy has done nothing to try and satisfy me and seems content on being the only party happy with this transaction.
