AS
Alejandro Torres Sanchez
Owner
In March 2021, my wife and I hired Alex Torres and his crew to remove the old countertops in our kitchen and both bathrooms, and replace them with new, modern quartz countertops. While although Alex was certainly not the cheapest, after having interviewed several contractors, we felt confident that Alex was the most capable and reliable. And, yes. He and his very hardworking, talented crew did what they said they would do. Our countertops turned out as we had wished.
However, as his crew was working, we were not aware of the damage they were doing to our wooden floor and our brand new dishwasher. Yes. They were not as careful as they should have been and dented the door to our dishwasher and left at least one gash in our expensive wooden floor. They really hadn’t covered up all of our appliances as they should have, especially because of all the dust.
Alex tried to patch up the floor with poor results and was unable to remove the dent in the dishwasher. He stated that he would reimburse us for the repair of the dishwasher door, and that he would return within a few days to give my wife the cutting board he had promised her from the remaining quartz pieces.
Well, as we all know, once you have paid a contractor, or at least, Alex Torres, they tend to disappear and don’t answer or return your calls. This is what happened with Alex Torres. Both my wife and I have called and texted him numerous times, but he now no longer answers or returns our calls.
So, the bottom line is that I would not recommend Alex Torres’ “Torres Custom Tile & Stone” (AKA: Torres Custom Tile Flooring) for two reasons:
1) The carelessness in which his crew worked causing damage to our property
2) The unlikelihood of his making good on his word.
