ZERO STARS if you ask me. Fernando took almost 15 months to complete our home back in 2019. It's true what others say...the sub-contractors do not get paid but yet Fernando will make the draws. I had to contact the President of our bank that held our construction loan because Fernando was making draws and not paying the workers. At one point I had the brick company calling me they were going to put a lien on my home, but yet the funds for the brick had been released 8 months prior. One day we went to check progress on the home and the spray foam insulation company came by looking for our builder because they had not been paid and the job had been completed 11 months prior. We've lived here for two years and still continue to have issues. Within the first 6 months our front wooden door cracked, leaks in windows when it rains, the shower titles on the floor separated from the walls leaving gaps and creates mold build up. Fernando does not honor his warranty because he never came back to fix any issues. We have had 5 recessed lights go out (yet these ware new?!) We learned they used cheap flat paint on the walls that does not remove stains easily and leaves marks. The walls are not straight in the hall way and living room. During the hurricane in 2020 water seeped into every single bedroom, the dining room and living room. We had water everywhere. Insurance adjuster said it's faulty construction because window are not properly sealed. We had windows sealed and yet today we still continue to have water now seep thru what appears the wall/window and goes into another bedroom. This is just a nightmare. I wish this on no one. However, I do hope Fernando Torres goes out of business & other builders will stop working with him because as clients it sucks to have these issues.

Working w Fernando Torres has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Never have I met such a dishonest lying man. Ive been in construction w him for over a year now & till this date he can not finish my home & every time there's no sub contractors working he blames them not going but once we personally reach out to them they confirm they do not show up to work because they haven't been paid. Honestly don't understand how this man is allowed to have a business. DO NOT BUILD WITH TORRES QUALITY HOMES!

We had an almost identical experience as the one posted above. Our contract was signed for 6 months yet it took Torres 14 months to complete the project. Our house also sat for weeks at a time without being worked on. There was about 8 other homes being built by him and all over the one year mark uncompleted. Every time we spoke he victimized himself and blamed me and the subs for the lack of completion. The bank holding the loan had to start an investigation and requested receipts and invoices from Torres to prove he was actually using the bank funds on our project. He did not comply. I had to eventually close with several items pending completion. He never sent workers to finish the outstanding work. Week after week, he was full of excuses blaming everyone but himself. Im surprised he is still in business.

Fernando was not honest with us on the progress of our home saying it would be completed in 4-6 months. The contract also indicated no longer than six months. He took over over a year to finish the home. Our home would sit there for weeks at a time, with no one working on it. He would lie to us about sub-contractors being busy when in fact, the sub-contractors did not want to finish the jobs due insufficient funds in Torres Quality Homes business account and these hard working men could not cash their checks. Fernando will make himself feel like the victim and not own up to any of his faults. He is a poor business man should not be allowed to operate a construction business.

Working with Fernando and Joe Cuellar was a rewarding experience for me and my family. We built our dream home with Torres Quality Homes back in 2013. It's hard to believe we've been living in our "new" home for nearly four years now. When it comes to working with a professional who cares, it doesn't get better than working with Fernando. If my wife and I were to ever build again, Torres Quality Homes will be our first choice (again)!

Would give ZERO STARS if allowed. Fernando Torres was suppose to build my house with his other company "Torres Quality Homes" with a pool. We paid him $6,000 in cash and our "house" was just a cement poured slab for months. Nothing was done. We signed the contract in December and concrete wasn't poured until May! After 10 months of waiting, we decided to move on and call it quits, we ended up going to another company. During the process we did speak to Fernando Torres who promised to give us our money back once the house was sold. We even told him we'd take payments. To date, he will not text, call or email us back. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN, he just takes your money and disappears!!
