Run far, far away from this company. Paul and Evan are extremely unreliable. I've had 2 bad experiences with them now after giving them a second chance

First, I wanted to install 2 new water heaters in my newly purchased home. Paul came in to give me an estimate and he did explain how the water heaters worked, which is helpful to a new homeowner. At this point I was happy with his services. And I got a reasonable price for the installation as well

On a Saturday, we scheduled Thursday morning to do the installation, which would take about 3 hours. No problem, I took off work as I was going to do a few other things around the house as well. But I mainly took off work for the water heater installation

Fast forward to Thursday, the supposed day of installation. I sent a text to Paul around 7:30am asking what time he would be there to install the water heaters. He responded it'll probably be around 1pm, but he'd confirm with me again around 11am. So far it's late, but not a big deal. But I had an important meeting to attend at 5pm so I had to keep that in mind

I followed up with him around 11am, and now the time was pushed forward to 2-3pm. "Okay" I thought. I can just leave him alone in the house to do the install, but would just need to instruct him to lock the door before leaving

2:45pm he tells me he's just picking up the water heaters. Now my time is running short since my meeting is an hour drive, and I still needed to get prepared

He finally shows up around 3:45pm. I was going to have them give me an estimate on redoing my bathroom as well, but since I needed to leave, I figured we'd do that another day

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! After he showed up to the house, I was upset as we were scheduled for the morning, and now it's late afternoon. But, he was there to do the work, and that's all that mattered. Or so I thought

He says "I need to ask you for one more favor", and asks me if he could come the following day to do the installation. I wasn't happy about this whatsoever and told him how I waited around all day for him, and wasn't happy about having to postpone the installation. Now, common sense here, if he was professional, he would've just apologized and promised to install at XYZ time the next day. But no. Being nasty, he said "I don't have to install them at all if you don't want me to". Then I told him to take the heaters and leave and I'd find someone else

I ended up allowing TP Plumbing to do the install, but they subcontracted the work out. I am very happy with the work the subcontractor did and he was very polite and professional

After having this horrible experience with TP Plumbing, I wasn't planning on using their services again. But I decided to give them a second chance and allow them to price out some general contracting work I needed for my house (floors, bathroom, kitchen, windows)

Evan stopped by on time (definitely more punctual than Paul). We walked around and I explained the work I was looking to do, and he did give me some good advice and suggestions. After we were finished, he promised to get an estimate to me by the end of the following week. I was in a rush, but no problem, it gave me time to schedule estimates with other contractors

His deadline passed and I sent him a text the following Monday to follow up on my estimate. He responded with, and I quote:

"Unfortunately we will not be able to take on this project. I've had to [step] away from the partnership- sorry to delay but you're better off having someone else tackle this work for you. I'm really sorry I wish it were different"

I thought he texted the wrong person, but clarified it was for me and he told me to reach out to Paul, who did not have an estimate. So after having me wait for over a week, TP Plumbing once again proved themselves as unreliable

If you need plumbing or home improvement work done, stay away from these guys. They are extremely unreliable and unprofessional. Find someone else to do your job for you, you'll be happy you did. I'm very disappointed with their service and will not recommend them to anyone else
