First, it is hard to separate TBC from Home Depot
So let me say right off that when I finally was able to have to door installed everything went fine. The crew was there on time and were professional and attentive. Robert was in charge of this install and went the extra mile for us. Very happy with new interior french doors and the job the crew did.Now I would never go with Home Depot ever again but I would hire TBC for an install.
Oh and if Home Depot drops the ball, ask for compensation. They ended up refunding us $600 for delays. It took 2 months to get the doors installed

We hired Home Depot to install a sliding glass door, and they use Tracy Becker Construction for the install. 1st They measured the door wrong. Seems like something they should know how to do, but I guess not. The door did not slide properly. The guy who installed it told my wife that it needs time to break in. Then he sprayed WD-40 on it. What a joke. After a year of nonsense with Home Depot they finally replaced the panel. Guess what! It worked properly. They also broke a piece of my siding that they would not take responsibility for. Now for almost 2 years of arguing with Home Depot about a gap between the floor and my trim not being fixed, I am leaving this negativity review. If you would have done the right thing I would have never written this.
Don’t use Tracy Becker Construction or Home Depot in Stewartsville NJ! Unless you enjoy poor work and arguing. -

We got our Home Depot slide door installed by TBC (Tracy Becker Construction). The door looked fine in the beginning like the look was good, the sliding was smooth, the heat insulation was good. However, the look can be deceiving.
When the sky turned gray literally, and it started to rain. Water would find its way into our house, and our floor slowly got wet with water puddles all over the place. We have our fridge and electronic stuff nearby, so it was frightening. We didn’t know how the water got in first, so we wait for another rain…
Few weeks later, it rained and….. the water seemed to come from the newly installed door. So we called TBC. The came back and forth a few times. Last time, a Home Depot manager was present… You may have guessed that the issue would be fixed?
Nope! Home Depot claimed that their door is fine. TBC said that their installation was perfectly correct. They both put the blame on the construction of our house… I guess the customer should always take the blame after all. -

Bad. They are an installer for Home Depot. From the time Home Depot took the order for an entry door install, it went slow, impossible to get information on door delivery and install date. The door was ordered at the beginning of May and we were told it would be in within 3 weeks. We called multiple times the beginning of June and they continued to put off when the door was being delivered until mid June (or that's what they told us). Home Depot said TBC would call within a couple days which took a week+. Then TBC said the install was scheduled for Jully 11 (a month out). I understand they are busy. When installers showed up, they rushed through job, were pushy about installing riser incorrectly and extending from metal threshold by an inch which will cause water seeping into wood sub sill ROT!!. The installer argued with us and said curtly, 'make a decision' with no other choice than the incorrect 2x6 joist piece that was provided. The fiberglass door that was installed has a 3" dimple in the middle of the outside of it. Looks like someone punched it. Subsequent contact with TBC was almost nil. They continued to pass the responsibility to Home Depot for materials etc. I'm still in the middle of the mess and would never have TBC or Home Depot do another install of any sort in my home again. TBC repsonds to Home Depot calling them which occurred when I personally went to talk with Home Depot's liaison and she called TBC. The few times I spoke with TBC, they put me off every time. I would give them zero stars if I could.

TBC replaced an exterior door for me and did a very nice job of it. I was so happy to be rid of my dirty old door that had been there before. The new door looks and works very nice. Thanks!

I had TBC install 2 storm doors purchased at Home Depot. The installer came out and did a good job, but he noticed one of the doors was defective. Since the old doors were already removed and couldn't be put back, we had a wide open doorway that would allow any wild creature onto our porch. I spoke to TBC saying I wanted to have schedule installation of the replacement door as soon as it arrived. They told me they couldn't schedule it until the new door was actually there. Once it was confirmed arrive, they never called me, never answered the phone when I called them, and they never returned any messages I left for them to call me back. Very frustrating and very unprofessional. They said, as way of excuse, that they just had a lot of turnover in their staffing. Not only that, the installer that came to my house the first time was no longer working with the company. Can't be a good sign if they are losing so many people.

At first I was very skeptical, because my original install appointment was suppose to start at 11am. No one called to confirm or cancel the appointment and because It was on a Saturday, I was really nervous since the “Office was Closed”. Finally, the installer (Julian) and his assistant came at 3pm. BTW: Julian also did the measurements for the door.
Now, I know you’re probably expecting me to write something horrific about the installation process and although they came late....
I absolutely love the way my door came out! They were very professional, neat and also had completely cleaned up the work area once done. I’m telling you they did and excellent job and it exceeded my expectations. My door is beautiful! I would recommend Julian for Entry Door Installments. -

I have been a home owner for over two decades and my experience with TBC Installs has been the worst of my life (by a long way). They were hired (through Home Depot) to install a sliding door due to prior one being destroyed as a result of storm damage. They collected their exorbitant fee and sent an amateur to scope out and perform the work. He made numerous errors and left the work site looking like the amateur he was. TBC Installs has compounded the problem by not living up to their commitment (both from an equipment delivery and quality install perspective) and have been truly unreliable to "work with" when it came to remediation. I can't stress enough that you should not do business with this company as they repeatedly demonstrated that they don't care about the customer, especially once they have cashed their check.

Poor experience - the expert door measurer came and measured 2 doors correctly and the other 2 incorrectly (off by 2 inches each). Fortunately we caught and corrected the error at Home Depot. On the installation visit, the installer decided that the doors were heavy and he needed a helper and that it would take 4 hours for one to arrive, so he left. Planning? He's not available for a month to get the job done, unless we want it done on a Saturday.

Very satisfied with installation of 3 storm doors and one entrance door. Installers were on time and cleaned up after themselves, courteous and polite.

Incompetent. Fails to take ownership/responsibility for substandard work. Began process April 2. 25 yr old door replacement for new door under full warranty from EMCO. First install Apr 14 - TBC shows up 2 hrs prior to appt. - I was not yet home. No message/no phone call/no "I'm coming back" - nothing. Saturday wasted. I took May 9 off, and the door was installed - improperly. Closer s/b 3" below window; was installed 1" below top of door jam. Lock installed upside down. EMCO will not honor warranty. HD orders me a second door. Took off Jun 5 TBC installs 2nd door - improperly. Door squeaks and hits the hinge side when opened. Installation damage/nicks scrapes evident on door. EMCO/Anderson is aware - they acknowledge door is improperly installed and damaged, and will not honor warranty. HD orders THIRD door. Still trading phone calls with TBC who is delaying install. Filed BBB complaint against TBC. HD Atlanta has been kept apprised of the issue since the beginning.

First, let me start by stating that our installation actually never occurred but we are staying away from this contractor. They are the installer for a NJ Home Depot. Their organization is very poorly managed, unorganized, and absolutely no knowledge on how to communicate with potential customers! First time measurement was a no show. Waited around for nearly 3 hours. Second time they just came out and did the measurement without even contacting us to let us know someone was coming. Get a call from Home Depot saying that they have our measurements to which we responded "really, because we never saw anybody out here to measure and we were told that the doors needed to be measured on the inside to ensure accuracy?" Whether they actually measured or just fabricated the numbers, we cannot say, but home depot insisted that they come back out to measure on the inside. After some time (again weeks), we received a call from a contractors office setting up a date and window of time to measure. As I was working, my husband left work three hours early and again it was a no show. Needless to say, hubby was MAD as work is wicked busy right now. I called the contractor's business and they reported that they were no longer with Tracy Becker and had handed all the appointments and information back and that they were supposed to call all the customers. Again, NO communication. A day later (before I had even contacted TRacy Becker), I got a call from a contractor from Tracy Becker "Hi, you were scheduled for a measurement yesterday, but I didn't have your information so I was wondering if I could come by today and measure?". Well, needless to say this contractor got an ear full from me because as luck would have it I just happened to not be sitting around for the past 24 hours waiting for Tracy Becker Co. to show up and that this was the second time we left work hours early just for a no show. He tried to say that wasn't his fault and that was home depot. I said well you stated that you knew we were scheduled for the day before but admitted you did not have our information on you- so I do have the right to be angry and you are at fault for not being prepared or even making a call to us so we could at least complete our work day. He hung up me.
So bottom line, if a company does not have the work ethnic/responsibility/respect to show up for a measurement when your time is just as valuable as theirs.... how will their integrity stand up to installing exterior doors?? For that kind of expense and with so many options out there, not something I want to risk. Definitely a shame because the sales person at Home Depot was super nice and knowledgeable but I just can't afford to take the risk of a shoddy installation or getting the run around when it comes time for installation.

I had a main entry door installed by Tracy Becker Construction a few weeks ago. The installer, Paullie, complained the entire time he was at my house. He left all the scrap wood, the old door, and the cardboard box that the new door came in. He installed the door poorly. It was poor enough that I called back and another guy came to view the view the work that was done. The first install had to be completely ripped out and the job had to be started over again. The second guy, David, did a great job on the second install. DAvid came back to do a storm door install. The storm door install was sloppy at best and I'm now I"m going back and forth with Home Depot to get this re-done. I've spent way too many man hours on this and I will NEVER use this company again.

If I could rate a zero that would be ideal. Tracy Becker Construction is extremely unprofessional and rude. Tracy Becker Construction installed a sliding door with the handle to the door upside down and also damaged the brand new siding around the door. I called immediatley to inform them and had to follow up many many times - here it is 4 months later, after several cancellations on their end and I had to provide the custom siding for repair. No compensation, no apology - the only thing we recieved was rude customer service and many cancellations. I will continue to write reviews until our job is completed to our satisfaction. NEVER AGAIN with Tracy Becker Construction!
