Tony Mangold owner of Tri County Builders is an outstanding builder. He has a vast amount of knowledge and is most helpful when it comes to building. He has done two jobs for us, one was a remodel and the other was building a new custom home for us. He has great references of people that he has done work for and they are still happy today with his work. Also go to the website of his other company that does custom home building and look at the picture portfolio www.elangrouphomes.com We would highly recommend him to anyone. Very fair and honest!

My experience with Tony Mangold could not have been any different from the other review posted. Rather than finish the house in May of 15 at $70/sq ft, he left the house unfinished upon reaching the bank's deadline in January of 2016, threatening to file a lien if the remainder of the loan was not paid to him. As it stands, the stained concrete floors need to be ground down and restained (at a price of $6/sq ft, and the doors and windows leak when it rains. We are having to spend over $1000 to pour the rock ledge around the house that he didn't do (not sure if he forgot or chose not to), and there are bulges in the side of the house from the spray foam pushing the walls out. I am unsure why my experience with him was the way it was, but from the service I was provided, I have absolutely no idea how he is still in business. The moment the contract was signed, his word up to that point went out the window, and he went from being helpful and interested in my desires to absent (as in he only came once throughout the entire process to check on the progress, despite my requests) and dismissive. I agree that every one of the references he provided me seemed very pleased with his work and thought he was a great guy, but my experience was, again, quite different. Not only would I not recommend him to anybody, I will do my best to point people in another direction. I have never written a negative review in my life, but I promised Tony and his foreman Keith while they were still working on my house that, if they didn't make a solid effort to provide me with the product agreed upon in the contract, I would make sure as many people as possible knew what had happened. I offered compromise after compromise, and pleaded with them for months, but Tony proved to be incapable of having a discussion without throwing a fit and shouting demands. Keith, on the other hand, swore to deliver everything requested of him the next day, and was still saying the same thing the day the deadline was reached. Please feel free to call or email me if you would like more details or pictures supporting these claims @ 361-354-1608 / [email protected]. I would also be more than happy to get you in contact with my representative at prosperity bank, so that he can confirm my claims. Remember, once you sign the contract, there's no going back, and Mr. Mangold is well aware of this.
