Stay as far away from this company as you can. THE WORST EXPERIENCE we have ever had. We hired Don to facilitate a new roof on our home. His roofers did NOTHING right. Fortunately he gave us our money back, but had us IMMEDIATELY sign a Release stating we wouldn't come back to him with further damages. It's a good thing, because we definitely would have. We thought the worst part of the job was when the workers used our garden shed as a toilet (yes, they crapped in our garden shed MULTIPLE times). But when we were advised the roof was not installed to Code and had to have it torn off (after 3.5 weeks of total disruption), we found ALL KINDS OF THINGS that had been done simply to cut corners. The vents that were installed on the roof weren't vented. They were placed on the roof for show. We were told that they laid plywood down before putting on the shingles (with nails that were too short and not up to Code). The plywood was spottily laid, at best. The owner of Tri-Creek, Don Franke, sat at my kitchen table and said that he would guaranty the roof for 5 years. When we suggested that it wouldn't pass a Home Inspection that would soon take place because we are selling, he said he would bring HIS home inspector by and it would certainly pass a Home Inspection. This job was a disaster from the get-go, with workers that looked like meth-heads and started working at 9 or 10 and most days left by 4. Fortunately Tri-Creek DID repair the ceilings that were damaged when the roof wasn't covered during 2 different thunder storms and the water infiltration made a mess of 3 ceilings. There is more damage that we didn't notice earlier, so we will have to take care of that ourselves.
There is nothing worse than a guy who looks nice, acts like he truly cares about what damage a bunch of idiots are doing to your property, knowing all the time that he's screwing you. You will be VERY SORRY if you EVER give this company or Evergreen Roofing and Construction work. They should both have their licenses revoked and I'm working on that now.
I would not recommend TriCreek. The quality of the work was fine. But the contractors were either extremely disorganized or had simply decided not to prioritize my 5-figure job, because it went weeks over schedule and I never knew when the crew would be showing up. I was even billed for the job before it was finished — when I called the office to point this out, they claimed to have no idea it wasn’t finished. The owner’s habitual rudeness and condescension whenever I asked him to explain the process or timeline is yet one more reason why I will never use them again.
