Tristar Plumbing is a joke of a company, and you should avoid them at all costs. It took two months and 6 service calls to install a bathtub. Over the course of the two months they caused two leaks with new plumbing connections they installed. The first leaked into the bathroom, and they came back out to fix that the same day. The second leaked behind the wall and into the bedroom, damaging the carpet and baseboards in both rooms. They had to cut through the drywall in the bathroom to see where it was still leaking and tighten down the hot water connection they had made to stop the leak. They sent an overpriced drywall contractor to repair the drywall and expected us to pay for it--over $400 for a simple drywall repair. They said they weren't responsible for the damage since it was raining the day they did the work and it must have been the rain that cause the leak. Give me a break. The worst part of the experience was the plumber who did the work, Brandon Watts. He no-showed for two appointments, hung up on my wife when she was explaining why she wasn't paying for their mistake, and was generally disrespectful to both of us on the phone. We had to talk to the owner to get anything resolved, but it still ended up costing us more. Much to our surprise Brandon finally ended up getting the tub installed, and it works. (I guess sometimes even a blind hog finds an acorn.) The only bright spot here is Jody who is the customer service person and scheduler. She was always nice and professional, and the rest of the crew could learn something from her. Unless you just want to call and chat with Jody I say you should avoid this place like the plague.
