I really wanted to leave a good review for Scott / Trinity Floors, but unfortunately he has disappeared on me. I hired Scott to redo my hardwood floors and tile/grout my new master bath. Throughout the entire process he was great, punctual, and communicated well. That was the case, until he was almost done and had his money. It’s been three weeks since he was paid, and he stopped responding to calls/texts a week and a half ago.
Scott sanded/stained my floors in two batches - the living/dining/kitchen in one pass and the hallway/bedrooms in a second pass. They have two distinctly different sheens to them, and where they meet in the middle you can see the transition. He promised to rebuff the floors to fix the problem, but has not. His tile work in the master bath yielded wall tiles that were unevenly set. He also pitched a soap niche the wrong way, so that the water currently collects in it instead of runoff as it should. He promised to fix this as well, but has not. There are other small details he had promised to complete as well that have been abandoned.
It’s really disappointing. And now I have to hire someone else to correct Scott’s workmanship.
I can’t recommend Scott, due to quality of work AND the clear fact that he abandoned the project once he had his money. If you roll the dice and hire him, withhold every dollar until he is 100% complete as I should have.

Scott was reliable during the work, and got the job done in a timely manner. The quality was lacking. The sanding left subtle waves in the floor that are very apparent in certain light. He indicated that these are inevitable, but I do not think that is likely. He also had to remove trim around my stairs that he promised to return to reinstall, but once he was paid, I was never able to reach him again. Finally, he owed me $200 for a heavy duty cord that I had to buy for his power needs, but never came through with that. Because of this I would not recommend him.
