By John S.July 11, 2020Remove Florescent Light, and put in 3 new LED lights in its place.$667
Electrician (Billy Limbrick of Triple J Electric) brought 2 additional people. Charged 3.5 hours at $85 per hour to take out a florescent light in kitchen (4 screws), pull the old light down, and ran three new LED replacement lights from the old power source. He misplaced one of the LEDs that I asked to be square with existing, but since hole was already there I left it to forego further damage to my ceiling. Their three cuts into the ceiling were not clean either. Total time should have been about an hour at most for this part of the work. He also replace old can lights with LED conversion kits , which was as simple as literally screwing in a light bulb (i didn’t realize this at the time or I would have done it myself). At a generous 5 minutes per screwing in the light bulb, I would give .5 hours of labor. Actual effort should have been 1.5 hours total. If we include travel time back to home depot/lowes for supplies I can even give them an extra .5 hours. He also charged me approximately $40 for each can light, which is about $10 higher than retail cost. Total prices was $665.50, and they even left their mess. Recommend finding another electrician.

It was hard to even give him a one star rating. Paid for all the materials and he did half of the work. Never returned. Never returned phone calls or text messages. Hired another electrician to complete the job only to realize Billy still has the panel cover that we paid for in his possession and will not give it to us. Do not use him for any work. His work ethic and the way he attempts to run a business is by far the worst I have ever experienced or dealt with.
