John Minh Tran
Do not hire or work with this business or with John Tran. He is dishonest and is also not qualified to do the job. The people who sold me my house had hired John to install a new AC unit. He gave them a piece of paper with a warranty for 1 year of labor and a 10 year warranty for parts. We had issues with the unit pretty quickly, which was odd as it was a brand new unit --- the unit would not cool the house in the summer, and in the winter it wouldn't warm the house. He came over a total of 4 times during the first year, only to tell me that there was nothing wrong, even though the unit was clearly not working. Then, the fifth time he came to look at the unit (and the first time he was coming over since the labor warranty was expired) he miraculously finds out there is a leak. He couldn't pinpoint where the leak was, but wanted me to call him in a few weeks so he could come back to repair the leak, at which time he would charge me for the repair.
I called a different AC man who came over and found the leak within minutes. He said that any AC repairman should have been able to easily identify and find that leak. We not have to pay $700 in labor costs because the leak is in the evaporator coil, and to replace this will require some welding and other more intensive labor, which would have been otherwise covered if John had done his job honestly during one of the four times he came to my house to inspect why the unit was not working properly.
This man is dishonest and wasted my time. At least I now have an honest and dependable AC guy who I can trust, but I think everyone should be warned to never trust John Ming Tran or Tristan & Tyler LLC.
