I would never recommend this Truex Preferred Construction. My husband, a disabled veteran, and I recently had a contract with Bill Truex and his business Truex Preferred Construction in Englewood, FL for an addition to our home. We began the process in February of 2023. They finally began to break ground in March of 2024 (how an experienced contractor took 13 months to break ground is still mind boggling) for the project and immediately committed egregious errors, and acted counter to County procedures and regulations which have caused even more delay to our project. From my experience, he lacks integrity, operates his business irresponsibly, doesn't seem to have a grasp of State and County regulation and procedures in the State of Florida. His staff has demonstrated a level of incompetence that is astonishing. We fired them as our contractor and have found more reliable builder to complete our project. Hopefully this will save someone from going through what we have with this builder. We had to learn the hard way.
