I have personally hired Turnbow Construction for multiple commercial buildouts over the past fifteen years. They have done work for me at office, retail and industrial properties (as a matter of fact, it's a pretty diverse group of properties though many of them are located in the Arlington area). Want to see some examples of their work? Check out spaces in Arlington at The Lakes at Matlock, at Cooper Landing on Medlin Drive in Arlington, and make a visit to the Fajitas N Ritas in Grand Prairie at Interstate 20 and Great Southwest Parkway (drive there as if you're going to shop at the At Home store - look for the Dallas Gold and Silver signs). You will notice that much of what they have done is a cut above in terms of quality.
Since day one, Trevor and Steve have been extremely upfront with all issues and pricing. In the times that I have been present when work was being performed, I've always been impressed with the professionalism of the crews they have used. This is a hard thing to do in the commercial construction business especially in this day and age.
Things happen on these jobs occasionally. Construction is not the easy business some might think it to be. All of the issues we encountered were made right. I remember the day the carpet guys were late to do a job at a doctor's office (with the doctor tenant none too happy) and guess what. Trevor showed up and saved the day - moving an extremely heavy object for safekeeping himself so the area could be secured. I've always felt as if I was given "red carpet service" by these guys.
They are extremely skilled at also working with other professionals involved such as engineers, architects, and brokers. As a matter of fact, they might even have an excellent referral if need be.
The only thing of them I could ask is if they would expand their boundaries a little and take some more jobs outside of the mid cities area. I totally get that their business model tends to center in that particular area (as does mine), but sometimes I want to show a little love east or west of me. They actually have been taking more jobs in other areas, so maybe my wish is coming true. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed since they have granted one wish after another of mine over the years. I know they will keep up the good work!
