We bought our home brand new from Turner Homes and we are now facing severe erosion issues in our backyard. Mulch was used as filling material instead of dirt, and the backyard level has lowered by almost two feet. Turner Homes has been extremely unresponsive and not taking ownership of the solution, even though it's a new construction. I do not recommend Turner Homes, but if you go ahead make sure you have an inspection on the quality of the soil, and have a real estate lawyer reviewing the contract and implementing the right protections.

I previously have left a 5 star review in regards to the Turner home we purchased summer 2024. This review is now being edited after more than a few months of extreme disappointment and safety concerns that have been ignored by the warranty team.
We stand by the 5 star review we left for the design team. Our home is beautiful, on trend and functional.
The warranty team lacks communication between members. It seems half the team is willing to do the right thing while the other half is taking the cheap and quick way to “fix”.
Our two biggest issues that have still not been resolved is a pipe that continues to freeze and back up into our hot water heater - causing us to have to turn off the hot water heater to prevent buckets of leakage directly across an electrical outlet. It’s our understanding that in the newer homes, this pipe is now being built inside the walls because of this problem. While one Turner team member was ready to do the right thing and move the pipe into our wall, the crew was given direction to throw insulation over the pipe. The pipe froze twice after insulating. We were left without hot water with two young kids in the house for days until the pipe unfroze. As of tonight, the Turner team responded with refusal to properly fix this issue.
Our second largest issue is drafty rooms and condensating windows. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago when the weather was nice and we had the windows open, that we realized this was due to multiple windows in these rooms not being securely installed. A very simple fix unfortunately found by us only after our dining room window fell completely out of place and onto our child on the floor.
We emailed Turner for help getting the window back in place. Response from the Turner team stated they were sorry nobody worked on Sundays but that somebody could re install that window this morning. As of tonight, Turner has confirmed they can not do anything to resolve this as they state they don’t have contact with the window company and it’s up to us as homeowners to get in touch with them - even though we are still well under warranty - we have not been successful getting in touch with the window company ourselves. Multiple windows in the home fall out of place after simply opening them for fresh air. This is a major safety concern that Turner refuses to address.
Our neighborhood is still under construction and now that we can see the process of these homes being built, we are incredibly disappointed and very worried about the quality. Crews are out in the middle of winter in the pitch black dark until after 9pm working on these homes. It is with extreme disappointment and frustration that we still have these issues and no plan or effort for resolution.
The integrity of the company is not what it once was. The cost of the home does not match the quality.
