I love my house but I wish I didn’t rush to close. They didn’t have everything done and said they would schedule times with me to finish things up but never did. They said I would get a USB port in the kitchen, never got it. They originally had the microwave venting through the wall to go outside but over time they moved it where the tubbing for it goes through my cabinet. I asked them about it, tried giving me some bs excuse that they couldn’t put it through the wall but did on the house next door that is the same exact layout. They said they would cover it with the cabinet material so i couldn’t see a ugly tubbing coming out of my cabinet, it’s been about 8 months and still not done.

I am living in a home that is too big in the far NE heights. It has been an extremely expensive money pit which cleaned out my savings. Not a good thing when one is almost 70 years old. I whined and paid out more for over a year, until I contacted a realtor who showed me Twilight Homes at Joya Escondida. Within a couple of weeks of early September, 2019, I committed to selling my existing home and putting most of the proceeds into my new Twilight property. By October I completed paying for and signing each of several upgrade change orders.
At that time, conscientious sales rep Irene Ramirez informed me that it often takes about 45 days for the City of ABQ to finish permitting before the ground on my purchased lot can be broken, and also an onsite soils test would be required. All during the rest of October and throughout November I stayed in touch with Irene as to the progress. 45 days came and went by mid November, and whenever I (more and more frequently) called to check on the progress, I was put off. 77 days have now passed; I was informed on day 70 that no ground will be broken on my lot until the very end of January, at least 30 more days from now.
HERE AND NOW I PROTEST !!!!!!!
I am now forced out of my comfort zone, specifically because of the following:
1). The good faith buyer of my current (sold) residence expects to be living here as of February 29th. My new home, at best, will be not be ready until May 31st.
2). I will have to move myself and my 2 cats twice in order to agree to wait until my Twilight property
3) I will have to pay higher property taxes plus higher utilities until June, and please recall this is higher than I can afford already. My choices for remedy include:
1). take Twilight to court to require you to Financially remedy my injuries regarding the stress, time and trouble you are causing me
2). Demand the refund of all contributions I have made timely and in good faith and I get out of this contract and go find somewhere else appropriate to live, while I BADMOUTH TWILIGHT ALL ACROSS ABQ.
3) TWILIGHT should expedite the building of my home with quality and excellence and OVERSIGHT at twice the usual rate. TWILIGHT shall put two crews to work together. I have First priority, because I sense that right after October 4th, all permitting went into a group process during which the City permitted all the rest of the Joya Escondida homes and possibly several other of their locations.
It is ,yes, good business to perform all like processes at once ( I, Carol, am a scientist as well as astute business-woman) but I find TWILIGHT legally at fault
for failing to inform me Or Irene Ramirez of this transition of their business dealings. AGAIN, I, PERSONALLY, TOOK THE FALL, AND AGAIN IT IS NOT RIGHT.

One of the representatives for Twilight Homes (Claudia A. Knigge) was contacted by my realtor in order to show us a house that was newly built. She was nice at first promising blinds and a automatic car garage opener. When moving on with the sale, she denied promising both of these items since it was not written on paper. When attempting to contact the people above her, no one answered nor did they return calls. I wouldn't recommend going through this company unless it is your last option.

I am in the process of building my home in Mariposa. So many things have gone wrong that I do not know where to start. I was not told that the windows were extra. After, signing papers I was told that the glass bathroom door did not come with the shower, I had to pay for windows to be added and the realtor said I must have forgotten that he told me that all of windows did not come with the home which cost me $12,700. The home had splintered compressed wood , damaged pieces with wholes in it and the puzzle like spliced together boards were not even touching where my pink fit through.
I send pictures to upper management at Twilight and no one made a comment. I am sure it will be plastered over pretty soon. So many other issues
I can tell you about but, in summary, don't buy from this Home Builder unless you want your home to be substandard and the flaws will be covered over with
plaster. I am extremely unhappy with the quality of the job that I have observed. Don't buy a home at Twilight Mariposa. Other issues and mis-information was given to me. The home was one of the worst decisions I have ever made.
