Javier Diaz-Masias and his Twin Pinnacles Construction Co was recommended through neighbors on Missouri St. He has done many long term projects on that street, being recommend from neighbor to neighbor. We were extremely satisfied with the work performed by his crew and his subcontractors in the different trades. We highly recommend Twin Pinnacles Construction and rate the company 5 stars.
We own a 2 flat victorian on Connecticut St and the kitchen/dinning room on the first floor never had been remodeled. Javier presented an interesting proposal w/ some very creative ideas, at a workable price - lowest bid was not our main criteria. The kitchen remodel involved gutting the rooms to the rafters hand floor joists. That revealed further problems with let to foundation work. Other problems emerged with the electrical services needing a complete rewiring and separating the mix-up between the 1st and 2nd floor. After the foundation work was finished, a german electrical floor heating system and floor tiles were installed (by Javier's expert subcontractor Isidro), plumbing had to be updated (by Javier's excellent subcontractor Eddy's Plumbing), walls insulated, more double insulated windows and door to garden completed the space. Now the kitchen was equipped with new appliances from LG, Maytag and Miele. Grohe faucets, Zephyr exhaust hood, custom cabinets (by Javier's cabinet builder) and great energy efficient lighting. A major work (by Javier's excellent subcontractor Byron - Flush Electric) was the rewiring of the electrical services, install separate fuse panels on each floor and a main service panel, in the garage, for the 2 PGE meters and just in case, a 220 Volts outlet.
In a second phase, Javier with his expert crew of carpenters and painters (Jose, Isaias, Ambrosio y Paulinho) refinished the kitchen on the 2nd floor, new hood, did bathroom work on both floors, poured a larger cement landing to enter the garden, constructed a mezzanine in the shed, installed a Werner Al ladder to the attic and re-insulated the attic. We ended up painting the entire house and Twin Pinnacles crew lead by painter foreman Isaias did a meticulous job, specially in the preparation phase, which is the most important part and time consuming, for a lasting paint job.
Javier managed this involved remodel phase by phase, discussing with us the alternatives and costs for the additional work that had to be done. As always in old house remodel projects, non anticipated problems appear as work progresses and have to be dealt with expertly and on the spot. If left for later or even brushed over, the could create costly problems down the line. At all times Javier kept us informed, proposed cost effective solutions. At all times he dealt professionally in addressing any problem and was always available for us. He inspected daily the quality and progress of his crew and subcontractors, making sure they had everything they needed to do their particular job. He and his crew did many extra works and favors for us as part of his outstanding customer services.
