We spent tens of thousands with Two Generations to apply lacquer throughout our living and kitchen area - cabinets, paneling, and tongue and groove ceilings. It looked good at first. But within about three years, the lacquer began to show signs of cracking and progressively got worse throughout over time. Though they initially seemed to recognize it was their responsibility to correct the defects, they ended up pointing blame on everyone but themselves (the weather, us for our paint selection that Two Generations agreed to apply, the folks who installed paneling, supposed movement of our house, etc). They ultimately wanted us to pay them another $30,000+ to remove the cracking lacquer and repaint, would only deploy two painters, take about six months to do the job in phases (all while our house would be in disarray), and would provide no warranty for the work. Since we were unwilling to swallow all of that, they walked away. We ultimately arranged for a reputable painting contractor to remove and replace what Two Generations had done, deploying many more workers to get the job done in three weeks, with a warranty to stand behind their work. My best guess is that our job was over Two Generation's head and that they lack the manpower or resources to stand behind their work. All in all a horrible experience.
