I met with an older man named Jerry about doing some work at my farmhouse. I wasn't really sure of everything I wanted him to do so we discussed things for a while and he was a bit brusque but OK. After we finished looking at everything and he told me his best guess about how much the work would cost I said I might do some of the demo myself to save some money and he became a bit rude about my changing my mind. I decided to push on though, and we discussed when he would have someone who could start the job and that I would be gone and couldn't get the necessary materials until the next week, so he said that he would have someone there then. In the meantime, prior to that date, something came up so I called him and asked him not to start working yet and to call me to confirm but I didn't hear back from him. I tried to call again but got a message that his mailbox was full. When I got back the next week, I found that his worker had been there and had done the demo work I said I would do. I called him and was told that his worker had started earlier than Jerry said he would and that Jerry didn't remember my telling him that I couldn't have the materials there that soon. He was agitated from the time he got on the phone and the longer we talked, as I was trying to find out exactly where things got confused, he got more and more rude and finally hung up. NEVER, EVER CALL THIS CONTRACTOR FOR A QUOTE OR USE HIM FOR ANY WORK!
