We remodeled an existing home before moving in, and a completion date was important due to our limited temporary housing. We used Doug for several of the projects, large and small, and he was integral in helping us reach our move in date. We always appreciated his willingness to figure out a solution to issues as they arose. He has done quality work for us over the years and this job was no exception. We recently recommended him to a neighbor in our new neighborhood.

I have worked with Doug and his crew for two different home remodels--mostly tile, but some other jobs around the home as well. I have found his work to be top notch with very good attention to detail. As important, he has a positive attitude toward both big and small jobs wanting them to be done right and to my satisfaction. With our latest project, I picked a specific color of grout that wasn't readily available, and he made the effort to locate it. I'm also very appreciative of Doug's trustworthiness--having him in my home and completing the job as expected. I have recommended him to my good friends and feel very confident doing so.

By Ascia F.June 19, 2021primary bathroom renovation$12,000
recently, we did a complete renovation of our primary bathroom! floors, shower, tub, everything! Doug was the fourth or fifth contractor i had interviewed for the project, the others were over quoting everything. Doug was very honest/upfront from the beginning, he provided a detailed quote for the project + was amazing at communication. every text went answered, every call was returned! if you’ve worked on any projects with contractors, they could be tough to work with due to the lack of communication! my bathroom renovation process did have a hiccup with the plumping of my tub but Doug took care of it even though he could’ve charged me for that issue that had nothing to do with their work, but he didn’t. my bathroom is my dream space in my home now! thank you doug & team for being amazing!!! i’m planning my kitchen renovation, a few other projects with them!

TX-1 - Doug, has followed me to 2 homes over 4 - 5 years and has completed 3 total bathroom re-do's, tub, tile, shower door, faucets, vanity, toilet, window. Exceptional work performed on all, LOVE all of them. Lately, we did my total kitchen makeover, and again, it is magnificent. Doug is so very easy to work with, very professional and trustworthy.

By Nick E.May 31, 2021Whole home remodel$20,000
We have done many projects with Doug, Doug Jr, and Andres. We have also used several contractor / specialists that Doug has recommended.
We have never had an issue with any project that Doug has been involved with. On several projects we have shipped the Bid around and not one time has Doug been the high bid.
Doug's attention to detail is second to none - on several projects we had a scheduling conflict so we used another contractor, we regret that decision and frequently say, "wish we would have waited and Doug do that".
It's a little difficult to recommend Doug, because we would love to have him all to ourselves.
If you live in North Texas and have gone through the typical contractor pains that most homeowners have, look no further. Doug and TX-1 are who you a looking for.

By Sandy B.August 14, 2020Bathtub tile surround
First red light should have been when they required 50% upfront. I thought Doug Sr was going to do the work, however he sent his son, who took 6 days just to do a bath tile surround. About the 3rd or 4th day he brought a kid to help. He said he would work until 6 or 7 pm, however they left before 5 everyday. The tile is uneven and the soap niche is a disaster! After many attempts to contact owner he finally accused me of not liking my soap niche and they would do nothing. You can only get Doug Sr b/f 8 a.m. or after 5 p.m. I've wasted almost $1600.00 for a gross looking tile surround. Pictures upon request.

We used Doug for our recent master bath remodel and we are thrilled with the results. A slow leak was found in the shower that was unexpected and Doug just stepped in and took care of the problem - didn't need additional time or money. My shower glass guy (who I had used before and ultimately used again) told me that whoever did my tile work did an excellent job. It looks great and all measurements are on par. Doug installed our porcelain tile which included some marble pieces in the shower. His work is impeccable and he has a creative eye. I would not hesitate to use Doug for any other project. He's honest and dependable and does excellent work and I trust him completely.
