I know that typically you wait until the project is completed before you review someone, and I am only about past the mid point of my project, but Mark has been such a pleasure to work with that I could not wait much longer to get the word out there about what a fantastic contractor Mark Unger is. Mark has been so accomidating, so helpful with questions and advice, and even went beyond the scope of the project that we hired him for, just out of his own kindness, doing things like taking away bulk trash and materials for us that have nothing to do with our reno (even helping us by bringing a bunch of bags of leaves to the recycling center). He performs quality and professional workmanship, even patching up various imperfections and fixing mistakes or flat out nonsensical work from previous work done along the way, included as part of his own project to ensure that we end up with a quality end result that we will be happy with and won't have to worry later about any "I wish this would have been addressed, or if only that was taken care of " thoughts in the future. Aside from his great work, attention to detail and use of quality materials, and accommodations, another thing worth mentioning is his competitive pricing. We've received several quotes from contractors that came recommend. Not only was Mark's estimate complete with all the work that we requested, unlike the others who left items out, but his was significantly less than the others we received. All in all, MARK UNGER IS AWESOME. I highly recommend him to anyone and everyone. He communicates with you in a very timely manner, responding within minutes if not seconds on most occasions, does quality work, works with you to meet deadlines, and accommodates your needs and requests. I have nothing but positive feedback to give with regards to Mark and his team. He has done a tremendous job on our project, has been able to accommodate our short deadline(my wife is due to give birth soon) even though he is heavily booked with other projects, has done the work at almost half the cost of other contractors' estimates, and the final cost of the project has actually come out to less than the original estimate. He painted and fixed imperfections in the nursery, built the inside of the nursery closet, took out a random door to the outside from the master bedroom, closed up the wall, put up siding, and put up another wall and built a walk-in closet where the exit used to be. Took out the carpeting from the master bedroom and layer down 350 Sq ft of wood flooring. He also moved a wall and took down another, along with the sliding doors to a closet which for whatever reason was placed in the walk-in closet on the other side of the room, providing a much more functional walk -in closet. He even put back up the bracketing inside the modiifide walk-in closet, moved the ceiling light fixture, and the air conditioning vent, at no extra charge. He installed 2 36" doors an framing for the closets, new trim all around the master bedroom as well as the walk-in closets, and painted all the walls, doors, floor, door, and window trims. All of this for under $5,000! Unbelievable. Not to mention that he has even provided us with help on tasks beyond the scope of the work that he has been hired for, such as taking a lot of bags of leaves to the recycling center, and taking away random metalic debris (some of which he needed to cut in order to fit into his truck), and taking away parts that our garage door installers from home depot were supposed to take with them after installing the new garage door opener, all without charging us a penny. Mark and UngerBuilders LLC have been a great asset for us and have made our project a remarkably easy and stress free experience, with wonderfully beautiful and functional results. This is the first and only contractor that I would recommend to anyone, it would be foolish to hire anyone else. Five star all the way : )

Mark Unger is THE BEST! He not only completes the job on time and within budget, but he does it with trust, goodwill and that proverbial extra effort. If only every builder could do it like him. P.S. On the last day he brought along his P.R. dog and he ate my left overs. It was funny!
