Do not use this company. Run away. Mike Cullen is the owner will want all of your money upfront. While we did negotiate to hold some back it wasn't nearly enough. (That should have been my first clue) He is a smooth talker and can make you think he knows what he is doing. Maybe he does and chooses to take shortcuts to make more money.... maybe he doesn't....Regardless , Mike doesn't do the work but instead sends in workers who don't know what they are doing (some underage) and he never shows up to oversee quality and only reacts when you call it out (and he chooses when and how long he takes to communicate). At one point he didn't even know who was on site working because his sub, subbed it out. He makes a lot of excuses about family emergencies and so much time goes by when there are issues. It takes a lot to get him to even show up to even see the issues. The bottom line, he did our entire lanai wrong and admitted it saying he "made a mistake". Yet he told me he was an expert and did many of these projects. His idea of fixing it was going to just make the problem worse. Thus, after a month and a half and we have dirt piles and stacked tiles. We decided to cut our losses rather than endure one more minute of dealing with a person that shouldn't be in business. The company has an BBB F rating for a reason. We now have to pay another company to come in and fix the disaster that we have for a lot of money. Dont' let the google reviews fool you. sadly we did and I believe they are suspect.

Beware of UNIQUE PAVERS DESIGNS Ft Myers FL. The worst experience ever with this pavers company! Almost FIVE months to complete project which was quoted as a 7-10 DAY project. Michael Cullen, owner, is the worst contractor we have ever known in 40 yrs of owning homes. Truly unprofessional, unreliable, and irresponsible. Instead of being upfront about delays, he kept making lies about not showing up. Never had the decency to pick up the phone to call or text after not showing up.
Future clients, BEWARE! M. Cullen will present you promptly with his very professionally designed and attractive brochure of stone pavering projects, posted with only his 4 and 5-star reviews; NEVER with ALL his LOW ratings due to similar issues as ours. We made the mistake of not researching UNIQUE PAVERS before signing contract. DO NOT fall for the same DECEPTIVE approach. M. CULLEN will also ask you for 55% of the total cost upfront.

We recently contracted Unique Pavers Design to install a new paver driveway, walkway and pool deck overlay with coping. Mike Cullen and his hardworking men delivered an outstanding job, none of them ever stood idle. Like a well-oiled machine everyone knew their job, we never knew that pavers could be cut with such precision. Mike was hands-on, approachable, responsive to our questions and checked on the crew's progress daily. The front and back of our house looks absolutely stunning and we've received numerous compliments from our friends and neighbors. We had several quotes from other contractors, but Mike's detailed estimate and reasonable pricing sold us.

Mike Cullen is a total scumbag. Don’t even think about dealing with him or any company he is associated with. He tells a good story but that’s where it ends. He lies, is incompetent, cuts corners, uses contract labor and treats them horribly. We have full documentation of the BS and admissions from him that he screwed up. We threw him off the job. He cost us almost $30,000 on a failed porcelain paver job. Offered to refund money but of course that never happened. We won’t get that money back but hopefully we can help others avoid having the same experience. Again, don’t even think about using this scoundrel. There are other decent contractors out there.
