This contractor was referred to me by Home Depot to install have a vanity and do some plumbing works in my shower room that a previous contractors messed with. He was outstanding and professional in his week and charges were fair. He was prompt and showed on time and worked without diligence to finish work without disrupting our daily routines.

I was referred to Ala by my friend and he was highly recommended.
Unfortunately, we have had a difficult relationship right from negotiation of contract.
After the initial meeting with him in August’2018 when we agreed on scope of work and labor fees, he kept changing his stance and the contract was signed only in November’2018 with contract spelling out clear terms.
The Deck and Porch should not have taken much time to complete, but Ala sub contracted to another party who have not been paid their dues by Ala. The only time Ala showed up was to collect or request payments (sometimes even if payment was not due as per contract).
Between the poor advice on the type and quantity of materials to be procured, to delays in completing project, my cup of woes was full.
It has been 6 months since we signed the contract and the project has not been completed as yet.
I eventually ended up sending him couple of warning emails to complete the contract and yet he did not revert. I ended up getting the work done through other contractors even though it cost me more.
If there is an opportunity to assign negative stars, I would have assigned it to him.
I strongly recommend against assigning any work to him. -

Good work if you can get these guys to keep their word and show up. They did a big deck/garage job for me. Took them 4 months to get me the proper info so that I could get the $7k that was owed to me by insurance. Then i hired them to fix the light fixture in my basement and they ripped a bunch of tiles out over 3 months ago and never came back. When they finally promised me it would be done, i came home and saw a box of lights in my garage and they stayed there for a month until i threw them by the curb and told the owner to come and get them. The one owner is great..the other is useless and untrustworthy. He will also try to change the pricing once the job is done. He even had the nerve to hit me up for money because "he prepared all of the insurance paperwork" which everyone knows is the contractors responsibility.

I wouldn’t recommend th is guy for any work. If there is any negative rating, I would use to revoke his license. He is a cheater and very arrogant. He is only friend until you give him the work. Once work starts, he doesn’t show up. He has unprofessionals under him without any proper expertise or training. He uses them to do work and he comes only to collect money. He should not be in business. He installed tiles in my entire first floor. The tiles are moving lifting up and down and cracking every where. When I showed to him, his answer was builder used cheap material to build my floor. That is the reason tiles are moving. He doesn’t want to admit his fault, he doesn’t pick up my calls, messages, emails. Finally I left with legal route, as my entire damages are more than $25K. On top of it now I need to rip off everything and redo the tiles that cost me another 30K.
I notified to all the companies and he doesn’t deserve to have license to work. His attitude is very bad and told me to proceed to legal route o Lu and he would address with them directly.
I tried my best to work it out with him directly and he didn’t leave me any chance, but legal route now.
Entire New Jersey residents, DO NOT HIRE him for any work. Learn from my experience and fire him. He is very bad hurting all other great professionals in that field
