Matt and just ‘helper’ installed honed travertine tile floors in 2 bathrooms 3 or 4 years ago, then disappeared. The tile was improperly installed (grout lines uneven, tiles set unevenly and began cracking immediately after install); my attempts to get Matt to respond to repeated calls were unanswered, but he didn’t hesitate to ask for a hefty deposit before work even began. When I asked him to do the job (he had dine beautiful work for neighbors in my small gated community), he told me where to go to get the tile and stated he only worked with natural stone; however, that changed when I told him tile not only was cracking, but thst he had broken a big chunk of tile at the entrance to
Master bath, and attempted to cover it up with the abutting carpet. It was never repaired by him. However, a family member purchased a kit and beautifully filled the 3” hole! How would I rate Matt’s work on my two bathrooms? Sub-par, at best. MBurke
