The Owner(the dad) is the first contact and he seems generally knowledgeable and well spoken, he gets you to sign on. You won't see him again until it is time to collect. After you sign on the next thing you know you are directed to his son, who is the contractor. I never saw him do any work. He just shows up and listened to your complaints, relays them to his head guy/translator, who directs the rest of the crew on what to do. The workers are great and work hard, but some seem to be working on things beyond their skill level and take a long time to get done.
I had them do my roof, and they just hired another crew to do the work. The roof was messy. I found nails on the other side of my neighbors yard. I personal picked up nails and found a ice cream pailful. They look to constantly keep the cost down for them and didn't replace any flashing. I had to have them redo around my chimney because it leaked after the were done, and charged me for it.
The Electrician they had is yet another story. His English was ok, but the guy he left at my house to install the fixtures couldn't speak a lick. I found after four hours in the dark using his cellphone light trying to wire a light at 9pm, that wasn't even his last fixture, he only had to do like 6 lights and 6 outlets. I told him to leave my house immediately and got the head electrician to come back out and redo his work, for safety reasons.
I could go on and on because they were in my home for 2 months before my kids could move back up stairs. In the end, they over billed the insurance company by $20,000 for things that they had to redo or that they called "per customer request". My requests were to do it right.
Then the Dad shows up at the end to make sure you sign off on everything so they can get paid.
All in all, I will never hire them again and I would never let my friends hire them.
