URI started out flipping homes in the booming real estate market. We have expanded into bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, additions, home reconstruction, and small commercial projects. We are located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Winton Smith is the Owner/Architect/Contractor of URI, LLC and has been in the construction industry since 1981. He has worked in fields ranging from contract negotiation to field administration. He is experienced with program and project development, master planning, and project budgeting, design management, bidding strategies, construction management and owner move-in.
In addition to serving as principal in charge, senior project manager, Winton Smith has also been owner representative, contractor, construction manager and consultant on projects. This range of roles gives him an understanding of the challenges facing the members of a project team. This advantage has resulted in successfully completing projects on time and under budget. In addition, he is adept in human relations and client contact. Winton Smith can grasp complicated challenges and then apply practical knowledge, enabling him to coordinate and manage multiple or complex projects. Projects have ranged in size from 1 million to 200 million. Much of the work throughout Indian Country.
Several projects have been published in "Contemporary Native American Architecture, 1993."
I left the "corporate" world to spend more time with my family. Opening a small design/build company to focus more on residential projects. Providing an affordable service to clients who did not think they could afford a professional, to solve their everyday problems. One thing our clients notice, we love what we do......
