Constantin and his son Val were outstanding from the very start all the way through completion of my remodel. They were extremely honest, professional, clean, on time and on budget- they had come highly recommended from friends who live in the Richmond where they renovated one half of their duplex and for our Sunset downstairs remodel they were equally rave worthy. Can't recommend them enough

Valex did a great job throughout a fairly complicated kitchen remodel. They were communicative, clear, and helpful when issues arose. Though we ended up being delayed past our original completion date, that was largely due to causes outside of Val & the team's control. Highly, highly recommended if you're looking for a quality remodel.

We were so lucky to have Val and Konstantin handle our remodel. Not only were their cost and time estimates accurate, but they went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly. They problem solved any issue that came up. Because of their skill and knowledge, they were able to give helpful advice and resolve any issues. They were committed to doing excellent work and making sure that we were happy with the result. They were detailed oriented, capable, and a real pleasure to work with. We'll definitely be using them for our next project and couldn't be happier with everything they accomplished for us!

We renovated our kitchen and bathroom in Outer Sunset with Valex Construction. It was pretty tough because we decided to do a renovation with a newborn thinking it would be easy (which it isn’t!) but Konstantin and Val made it easier for us. They were very responsive, communicative, and really cared about our project. We decided to live in the construction after they finished our bathroom while they were wrapping up the kitchen, also not easy! But their team was really respectful of our needs. The quality of their work is amazing and their price is fair. I would use them again and highly recommend their team

This is a long overdue review for Valex - Val, Konstantin, and the rest of their team worked on a double bath/kitchen remodel for us last summer, and they were wonderful! We got several bids for the project through Buildzoom, and Val immediately impressed us with his detailed cost estimate and friendly, easygoing, yet professional demeanor. Both Val and Konstantin were really helpful in making suggestions to improve the project while still allowing us to make the decisions--and it helps that they know the houses well in our neighborhood, the Sunset. It was Konstantin's idea to divide our very large bathroom + water closet into two bathrooms, which has worked wonderfully, increasing the functionality and the market value of our home.

We had heard horror stories about remodels going way over time and over budget; Val and his team were exactly on target for both. As others have mentioned, they use WhatsApp to keep you apprised of every facet of the project and how things are progressing, and they check with you about everything, so there are no surprises.

By the end of our project, Val, Konstantin, Karen, and Moises felt like family. I was almost sad to have it be over (!) but thrilled with the results... and since SIP has begun, so grateful to have a nice space at home. We went to them again for a quick laundry room refresh, and are already looking forward to our next home project with them.

We are so lucky that we went with Valex for our bathroom remodel. They are really professional and timely with their work, while also being easy-going and adaptable. They are super nice and that goes a long away because you will generally be seeing your contractors pretty often during a job. They are really familiar with SF homes and left my bathroom looking both modern and timeless. Also, the guys they contract for plumbing, tile, etc, were wonderful as well. I plan to reach out to them for future renovation jobs!

This review is way past overdue!
I would like to thank Val, Konstantin and the crew for a great job with our remodeling and the patience with us last year! My husband and I never had any experience in remodeling process. After explaining our plans to Val, he literally walked us through the process of obtaining permit - that we needed an engineer and an architect. That road was very bumpy with stops, turns and delays and we were worried that our contractor would start another project... But they were so understanding and patient with us, Val came to our meetings with the engineer to make sure everybody is on the same page! All our phone calls and emails were answered same day, even at times late in the night due to our work schedule! And once the work began, Konstantin and his guys weren’t just doing the job - they really cared what would work best for us - recomended us which stores to go and things to get and at times they would get supplies picked by themselves! They also got us registered on WhatsUp app for communication which works great - with picture updates as well:) Our remodeling was completed on time as we discussed at the beginning which is a huge plus!

They made the whole process smoother and we couldn’t be happier!
For our next project we would definitely call Valex Construction again!

Valex helped me remodel my bathroom and help fix up my second bath. They are reliable, friendly, communicative and reasonably priced. They were very helpful about helping me source tile and counters. When I needed to make mod project changes, they were flexible. I recommend them for your next home project.

It was a pleasure working with Valex construction. Konstantin, Val and team did an outstanding job in pretty much upgrading the entire house into a modern showcase home. When we first started the project, we tried to get estimates from a few general contractors and Valex provided the most detailed and reasonable price for the job.

A few things that stood out while working with the Valex team: very professional, listened to our requests and concerns, provided excellent feedback and workmanship, and made sure we were happy with the results. I am kinda picky. As it relates to VALEX, I couldn't be happier. We had Valex design a new kitchen, remodel 2 bathrooms, completely paint the interior and ceilings of our home, and create a new living room with custom fireplace. Their attention to detail in all jobs including the demo,plumbing, gas-line, tilework, appliance install, and clean up was meticulous and all to code.

I received several bids on the house project from other contractors and was surprised how unprofessional some of them can be, with a kinda "take it or leave it attitude." Not with VALEX, they were ultra-professional, they were super courteous and accountable. If a change was needed, VALEX quickly got it done and was super polite and hospitable during the process.

Val worked on our initial quote and is a friendly guy who aims for customer satisfaction, he was super honest through the whole job and gave helpful recommendations on design ideas. Their Contractor, Constantin is a mathematical whiz as he can compute quickly specifications to code and is a real craftsman that can fix or build anything we wanted. They have a great construction team that can get the job done.

We have recommended them to our friends and will use them for future work. Thanks VALEX for making our new home beautiful with an affordable cost.

Valex Construction performed a full remodeling of my condominium (remodeled the Kitchen, 2 Bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, installed engineered floors and European style Milano doors throughout the unit, did the paint work, etc). The owner, Konstantin, is very knowledgeable and pleasure to work with. His construction team is also very professional. All work was done on time, within budget, and with the utmost quality. The finished product looks great. I am very happy with their work and would not hesitate to recommend Valex Construction for any job - big or small.
