My son and I bought a roof from this person. The roof leaked and they had damaged the home upon installation but still demanded payment prior to making the repairs. I am 80 and after being threatened with collection and promised the repairs would be made after payment we did so. They did TRY TO MAKE A REPAIR but the work was so bad it was obvious the person doing the work did not know what they were doing. The roof leaked for 2 years and the company either didn't come out at all to make repairs or came out 5 days to 2 weeks later without our knowledge. The leaks became so bad they were all over the back of the home. BECAUSE OF THEIR REFUSAL TO DO THE SERVICE WORK WE HIRED ANOTHER COMPANY AT OUR EXPENSE 3 TIMES TO MAKE THE REPAIRS. THERE IS OVER $40,000 IN DAMAGES TO THE HOME INCLUDING THE $11,000 WE ARE FORCED TO PAY FOR A NEW ROOF. Now we get a rude letter from his attorney telling us NOT TO CONTACT VAN NOORD FOR REPAIRS AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ROOF. IT IS A RESULT OF ICE DAMNING. PROBLEM IS THE LEAKS HAPPEN IN SUMMER AND THE INSURANCE CLAIM FOR THE MOLD AND INTERIOR DAMAGES IS FROM SEPTEMBER 1. Ice damning?????? I don't think so!!!! What a line of crap!!!! If you want MOLD AND YOUR ROOF TO LEAK CALL THIS MAN!!!!!
