Permits

I stopped there on 5-6-21 to have a electric motor fixed for my metal lathe. He came out to greet me with a mask on his face, (So I know he does not think rationally), and was rude to me with his first words being, "Hurry up, I am busy". I explained what another electrician did to the motor to modify it, adding a capacitor (and it operated for years when the stock motor would not), and he had no idea of the reason why it was done, saying, "I have been doing this for 40 years". I know a lot of people who have been doing things wrong for long periods of time, so that argument holds no weight for me. I have talked with many electric professionals about this motor, and a couple of them are actually aware of the modification, as they explained to me why it was done, and why it worked. I left the motor there, but I really did not like the guy and decided to fix it myself. I drove back, (40 mile round trip) and picked the motor up. I have been into manufacturing all my adult life, and have met many people like this guy, and all I want to say to them is, "The day you think you know it all, is the day you have a lot to learn.".
I did not get a good first impression of this guy, and choose not to do business with him.
