    We had a major remodel done by Tom and his team at Velero Construction. Our project involved the conversion of our garage space into a residential unit and there were a lot of challenges along the way, including changing contractors and our engineer. Velero was a real pleasure to work with and I really appreciated how clearly they communicated and how they addressed the various obstacles we had to contend with.
    We were very pleased with the end result.

    Velero did a wonderful job on our commercial project. This involved raising up and reinforcing our onsite trailer, excavating and treating the damaged and rusted rebar of our parking lot, and patching and waterproofing the entire parking structure. We also had to remake part of our existing metal stairway and build a special housing over some of our mechanical elements. It was a very complicated job and Velero really stepped up and delivered. Highly recommended.

    Structural steel and interior remodel

    Velero Construction did an excellent job on our project. The project had many technical challenges including a 36 foot steel beam, masonry reinforcement, and retrofitting existing framing. We changed our garage into an office/living space and reinforced the building to be seismically safe. They had to fit a large steel beam perfectly into an existing roof, fabricate metal posts, and other tasks like welding, framing, and sheetrock. They worked well with the engineer, special inspectors, and building department. There were a number of challenges and setbacks from schedule changes, building department obstruction, and plan revisions. Velero did a great job accommodating all of these issues and keeping the project on track.

There were a lot of challenges with our project, including issues with our permits and some hurdles related to the pandemic, and they really helped drive things forward when we had setbacks Overall, we were extremely pleased with their attention to detail and the overall quality of their work.     Deck Repair project

    Tom rebuilt a section if our deck, as well as repaired and repainted it all. He is very professional, shows up when he says he will be there, let’s you know what’s going on constantly and does everything he says he’s going to do. He did beautiful work, and even added some extra touches to make sure that the deck would last a long time. The job came in on budget, and followed the timeline. Although weather cost a few extra days, Tom was great about explaining what was going on and why. We loved working with Velero Construction and will absolutely call him if we need another project done!
