Vene Fence Corporation

I would first like to say how So far my experience with the owner/husband have been very pleasant, and they do do good work. But my experiences with his wife as a business operator sucks!

1) On the first day they came out to sign contracts and and get info for the permit, she gave me a window when she would be at my house from 9-11. Im a nurse and work nights so I stay up waiting for her, thinking i could just go to bed at 11:15 and get plenty of sleep before going to work again that night. well its 12:45 and Im still waiting for her to get to my house. Never received phone calls or anything that she states she did. So now at this point Im only getting 2 hours of sleep after working for 13hrs and now have to go work another 13hr shift.

2) The day they were supposed to come out and do the fence ( which we had made arrangements w our job to be here at the house) they called the night before to reschedule it for the next day due to the fact that their other customer got rained out. I completely understand that these things happen, but again not our problem.. now we just took off of work for nothing,nad have to take off again.

3) The day of the fence... they have mentioned plenty of times that the were going to be here 7am sharp to do the fence. So my husband set alarm for 6:30am to be up and ready for them. No one showed up until 10am after numerous phone calls. His wife said "ohh hes looking for a Lowe's" when ther is one 2 min from my house.. Funny thing is... they happened to be a next door at publix getting subs (where my sis works in the deli of course they dont know its my sis) telling her all about their company and the job they are about to do.. Telling her how they had a late night the night before, and slept in cuz they were tired.... And then my sis says "ohh you guys are doing my house" , and were you not supposed to be there at 7am" The looks on their face were to die for..OOPs got caught

4) I happened to accidently write the check I gave them for payment wrong and when the wife called me to tell me,, I gave my apologies and asked if they took credit card.. She says "Yes but Im not going to pay a $60 fee b/c you wrote a check wrong" How freaking rude is that?/ Last time I checked you were a business and thats what you do. Im paying you almost 5K and you cant pay a $60 fee?? I have small business like Mary Kay and I dont even charge my customers the fees for using their cards. We went on and on about how I think they do go work, but gave a few pointers from a customers perspective on the whole process and the aggravations I had with it, along with the positives. I told her its not to come off rude just some things that could be changed to make the customer more happy and thus giving more reccomendations to people. She precedes to tell he how she was late b/c she had to drive all the way back to pick her son up from school so DCF wouldn't get involved, and how she should have been charging us transportation fees for coming out here to do work. Uhhh lady, you child care is NOT MY PROBLEM, and you shouldn't accept work where you don't want to drive to.. again not my problem...

Work is good, but dealing with the wife... HURTS their business tremendously...she is rude, and doesnt know how to run a business or have good customer service.
