    Water Damage Restoration project

    Repaired extensive damage to condominium caused by flooding. Note that work was done on a totally emptied unit of a condo since all items were moved out and put in storage.
    Overall, he had a very professional approach to the job. No damage to property. Clean-up done well after work completed. All agreed upon jobs done to my satisfaction.
    Work done: rebuilt walls and ceilings; full painting; installed new carpet in one room; installed hardwood floors in all other rooms except bathrooms; removed vanities and toilets from bathrooms, and replaced with new ones, with needed plumbing; reinstalled closet hardware. (I contracted separately for electrical work.)
    Quality of work was very good. Contractor's men were skilled and dependable, including subcontracted plumbers. He assumed responsibility for obtaining materials and transported them when needed. Returned unused supplies for substantial refund to me.
    Price was fair.
    Two problems: first was my own lack of experience. I should have been much more specific in explaining what I wanted done in the project. If I had, I would have avoided delays, unexpected costs, and fees for contract changes. Contract was professional and accurate as to what I initially asked be done, but I did not make my goals and expectations clear. Second problem had to do with the contractor's ability to respond to communication with him. He was very busy with other projects while working on mine so often there were delays in his response to calls, emails, or texting. At times this caused my undo concern regarding details of the project as it progressed. However, all concerns were eventually resolved to my satisfaction.
    I would hire him again and recommend him to others. But I'd be more specific in details of contract and establish with him beforehand what I expected from him when attempting to reach him.
