I hired Manny from Verde home design, his crew was very amiable. They did all the masking, preparation & painting. They did an excellent job of painting my house, when they finished they cleaned and moved pots and benches back where they were. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants their house painted. Great job!!!

I recently had my house repainted and it looks wonderful! Several neighbors have stopped by to say how good the house looks. It’s white with green trim, very pleasing to the eye and it compliments my drought tolerant yard scape.
It had been a goal of mine to use reflective paint so I could try to lower my electricity bill. Manny Torres, of Verde Home, had his team use COOLWALL by Texcote. It’s beautiful.
The team, Chalino and Alex, managed to prime and paint the entire house in about 1 week. This is remarkable because COOL WALL is so thick, it is often applied by hand. They were miracle workers, fixing issues (new wood beam, using special paint for my metal screen door, and cleaning, painting and reattaching the awnings), and they were thorough and careful.

Manny and his crew did an amazing job replacing our roof, they were very efficient and cleaned up every day after themselves. The roof was completed in 2 and a half days and that included a last minute request to put up guttering. Manny was very easy to work with, explained everything as it was progressing and was very reasonable with his pricing. We would recommend Verde 100%.

We had a great experience with Verde Home Design, and Manny Torres. We had our home custom painted with the cool texture paint. The crew came and worked neatly and efficiently. Manny came out to inspect and make sure we were totally satisfied with the job. He also assured us that when the time came to replace out patio roof, the company would come out and paint any spots that were not painted from the existing cover. We are very happy with the quality of the work.

The project Verde Home Design did for me was as follows: 1. some of the existing plywood that was on approximately a third of the exterior of my house, some of which was damaged plywood, was removed and stucco applied to these areas, and 2. the entire exterior of my house was then stucco and was then painted with Cool Life Elastomeric Paint. I am having the following problems with this work that was done.
During the 11 months since this project was completed, pieces of the painted top layer of stucco have continued to fall off in many areas of the new stucco Verde Home Design installed that appear as ugly white spots. Those areas with these many white spots look ugly. In my contract with Verde Home Design, it states that all of the existing plywood that was damaged would be replaced with new plywood on which their workers would apply new stucco. Their workers did this in most of the areas where the damaged plywood was, however, there was one important exception. The outer parts of the plywood on the exterior of the chimney has severely rotted from all the edges of these plywood boards and with rotted wood about 5 inches wide from all the edges towards the middle of all these boards. The workers told me they were NOT going to replace these rotted plywood boards and the project manager told me I would have to pay more for them to replace this rotted plywood. However, my contract with them with the agreed upon total price for my project, states clearly that my project includes replacing ALL the damaged plywood before the stucco was applied in these areas. At that time, I told the company owner, Manny Torez that the rotted outer parts of the plywood boards on all the exterior sides of my chimney was severe and all these boards needed to be replaced. The owner told me that it was not necessary to replace these boards on my chimney and the rotted boards could have stucco applied to them. I have since learned these boards could continue to rot and make the stucco applied to the outside of my chimney unstable.
I have communicated these problems to Buildzoom, but as of this date, I have not gotten help with correcting these problems.
Response from Verde Home Design Inc June 9, 2020Hi Nicolette, Thank you for you feedback but I believe there were some misunderstandings on our agreement. We would NEVER stucco over, paint or use dry rotted or damaged wood. Ugly wood is not bad wood, it just needs TLC or can be stuccoed over. Again I will emphasize that the wood was not damaged or rotted, we would never work with rotted wood. At the completion of job we did a couple of job walks with you until you were satisfied and then you signed off and paid us when you were happy and satisfied. Julio will be out there this Saturday 6/13/20 to check on the work and will take pictures and solve whatever possible issues our work has if any. Manny came to the house and went over the products in great detail and we talked about all the details of the job. We were so impressed we signed that day for the work to be done. They showed up when they said they would and left things clean at the end of each day. The crew had questions a couple of the days they were here and always asked before they did the work. They actually finished the job a couple of days earlier then what Manny had quoted. Midway through we wanted a color change on some of the trim and it was no trouble. They even went back and repainted some of the trim and the front doors in the new requested color. We were very happy with the finished product and glad we had Manny and his crew from Verde Home Design do the job!

Manny Torres was the general contractor in charge of the rehab of my new 2-bedroom condo in Playa Del Rey. The building dates back to the 1960's and this unit looked it. Manny directed a complete and innovative overhaul, transforming the appearance and functionality of this condo to fashionable 21st century standards. This involved completely new tile and hardwood flooring, ceilings scraping and refinishing, new wall surfaces such as stone in several areas, new paint, new countertops, cabinets and fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms, wall and door movement to enlarge the kitchen, installation of new appliances and repurposing of rooms, new electronics and lighting everywhere, and sensitive attention to my aesthetic tastes and functional needs. I could not be more pleased by his performance. He directed his sub-contractors competently, so that little to no interference by me as owner was required. The place is now beautiful and attracts complements from all who visit. He brought this project in on-time and under-budget, with a level of quality and stylish beauty unexpected given the very reasonable price he charged. Naturally, there were small issues that had to be corrected after completion, but Manny also made these corrections without hesitation. I highly recommend Manny Torres for any domestic rehab project you may be considering.

I had such a pleasant experience with this company and would highly recommend them for home renovations. Mr. Manuel Torres is very dedicated and honest when it came to pricing and the results are AMAZING! I get a ton of compliments and am truly enjoying the beautiful work done to my home. The quality is there and I would not go with any other general contractor. He answered all of my concerns and genuinely met my needs without a problem. Very good response time too! Work was done in a timely fashion and with such detail and care that I felt like a valued customer. Easy to work with, reliable and great communication. They installed a new roof, insulation, quiet cool fan and windows. They used the best materials with great warranties and energy efficient and offered many options. We highly recommend them and would use them again.
