Versa Tile Co

I hired this business to do a small bathroom remodel. They said it would be done in one week and they would start on April 14th, 2025. The owner let me know the week prior to the 14th that he had an issue on his current job and couldn't start until the 21st. They started the 21st. During this time they used my $900 new bathtub as a tool/trash recepticol without any cover or portection. I went and bought a $40 canvas tarp and asked them to clean the tub out and scrape off all the adheasives that had gotten on it and cover it with the tarp. They did, but at the end of that day I noticed they packed up all their tools leaving only a couple of garbage cans with some trashbags, and small trowels. Then the next 3 days they were a no-show. After 2 weeks of work there is less than 3 days work done. The bathroom has no functioning toilet, sink or bathtub. The tile is unfinished the painting is unfinished. I gave them over half of the quote up front, I paid them $11,000. When I told them it was not working out and asked for half the money back as I did not think that even half of the work had been done. They not only told me no but they said they'd be invoicing me for the rest of the fee and would sue me if I didn't pay. Also, they tracked adheasive on my hardwood floors, left the hose running in the yard, left my garage unlocked, left the old items they cut out of my bathroom sitting in my yard for the whole first week, left a bucket of hardened drywall paste in my yard, and trash in many places. I have pictures to show the work done and the messes.
Since I filed this he's come back for the tools he left here and accused me of stealing a chopping saw. The police had to be called.
