    Pour Concrete Back Patio
    $2,400

I hired D&D in June 2022 to remove a small ground level deck and replace it with a concrete pad connected to my existing back porch pad. After they came and poured the concrete, they left the brick on my house covered in concrete. Once I called the owner (Mike Denton), he came out and cleaned the brick and pointed out they had laid the slope the wrong way. Mike then stated that after the heat of the summer dropped off, he would come back out to redo the pour. After 16 months of trying to get him back out, he finally followed through with his word and repoured my 12x14 pad. He left the 2x12 pad he laid on the first visit, so now I have 3 different colored and textured concretes for my back patio. The 12x14 pad he repoured was also done hastily and is not properly done either. When he came out the second time and performed the repour, he did not address me or even acknowledge me while he was there. I figured it was because the concrete truck and backyard machine were already there and he wanted to knock it out but once he was done pouring, he cleaned the machine and left. The 2 workers he left behind barely got out of their truck while waiting (after they left for lunch) to smooth and seam the concrete. They barely made it out of the truck in time to smooth the concrete because it set faster than they expected (I was listening to them through my storm door). They too, did not acknowledge me and left when they felt they were done. Again, they left the forms in place and after a week of waiting for them to return and inspect finished work, I had to remove the forms. When I removed the forms, I found that one of the workers had run nail through the form and out of the wood to the concrete side of the form. When the form was pulled, it chipped a chunk out of the concrete.

I would not recommend using D&D Concrete or anyone that affiliates with them for concrete work. Mike seems to be a good person, but he doesn't follow through with his word and when you try to hold him to it, he acts as though you are in the wrong. It is unfortunate because I prefer utilizing local companies and they are few and far between in our small town.
