Vincent D George General Contractors

I always had excellent experiences with Vince. He is an excellent contractor. Nothing what these people are saying. The same people are posting 2 and 3 times. I've known Vince for 20 plus yrs. and he has done so many projects for my husband and I. Vince was getting to much work coming in and couldn't handle it all so he hired outside contractors. Contractors he knew and who he thought he could trust. Vince trusted these contractors because he knew them. Vince not being able to be on every job is when the problems started. Nobody takes more pride in their work than Vince. I feel bad for Vince because he is NOTHING WHAT THESE REVIEWS ARE SAYING. Two of the bad reviews was from one of Vince's helpers that Vince fired. His reviews are being monitored closer now to prevent false reviews. Now Vince is on every job from start to finish hands on. I can guarntee you will never read bad remarks again on his site because he's there on every job Working hands on. I took the liberty myself to post and explain briefly why Vince has some negative reviews.

Absolutely horrible! We hired after a neighbor (who is related to Vince through marriage recommended him). He never came back to finish contracted work which we paid up front for in addition to a tip (HUGE mistake on our part, but since he was recommended by the neighbor who knew him we never thought he'd leave the job unfinished!!!). After 5 months of calls on his Vince's several numbers (some given to us by his family friend), we realized he stole our money and had no intensions of coming back to finish the work. Wish I looked at BBB first and other sites that are saying very similar stories to what happened to us). Even his family friend couldn't get him to come finish the work. We're out $900 and another neighbor is out thousands. Our neighbor who knew Vince apologized and said he couldn't get him to come out and for us to take whatever actions were needed. I truly believe some of the above reviews must be from friends of his to try to protect his business. So sad how people can be these days. It's a shame b/c the work he did do was quality. Shame he never finished the rest....I did call Brookhaven police to see if I had the correct address for him (we also tried sending letters). They informed me that Vincent D. George has several lawsuits against him and he is hard to track down, but his address is correct.

My house was desperately in need of an experienced contractor one who knows the home remodeling n construction field. Vincent n his crew were just so incredible. Vince gave me such good advice along with different options that met my budget. I had him do my whole house. He had everything under control. Most of all he was extremely clean and neat. It was such a pleasure working with him n his staff. I recommend him 100% for all your home remodeling projects. A very honest n conscientious person.

TAKE THIS FROM A WISE ADVISOR: Mr. George deserves to have his business shut down!!!! His pattern of scaming money & abadoning jobs is well recognized and documented!
Although I agree with the 5-star reports for Mr. George reporting he does good work, I don't get his pattern of how he decides which jobs he will complete. I have had the same experience as those who paid him money, and he abandoned the job without completion. I have wasted many days/hours of my time waiting for him (as he promised repeatedly) & NO SHOW. He has no conscious; no sense of good business; very disorganized; and an arrogance to not care how he treats customers--ignores calls, texts, etc. The comment of him "honest" is a total misconception. So, I'm not sure I would trust the 5-star reviews as legit. I can tell you Mr. George's illegal behavior is being addressed by his local PD/court system.

This is what Vince walked away from, after getting most of the money to finish the job. He doesn't return phone calls, text messages, and has not returned at all to finish the work.

Vince is a fly-by-night contractor. I had a contract with him for $10,000 to totally remodel my front porch. Almost two years later, the work is not done, he has almost all of the money, and it's been months since we've heard from him. He is disorganized, overextended, overwhelmed, and does not return phone calls. The only time he came back to work was when he asked for (and got) more money. When we told him we weren't paying any more until the job was done, he stopped coming. The job is not even halfway finished. Most of what he did do for us is crap and will have to be re-done. Save your time and money and do NOT hire this guy.

Don't hesitate to get Vince trust me he is the best all the way around. He has been doing work for me for the past 10 yrs. and I couldn't imagine getting anyone other than Vince. He is by far the best. He just did an enclosed porch deck 20 x 25. The lighting he did along with the Vinyl Decking and Railing was BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!!!

I purchased a home in Glen Mills. I had 6 weeks from the purchase date until I moved in. Vince was able to have the kitvhen and three bathrooms completed in this tile frame. After that he finsished the basement. He did a great job on everything. the only thing I regret is I did not allow him to do my electrical work. I had someone else. After the storms over the past two weeks I lost power. A few things did not turn back on. I called Vince to and asked him to recommed an electrican. He came out himself and fixed tmy lighting at no charge. Most contractors wold not even think of doing that. I would recommend him to anyone who needs minor to majotr work done in there home.

I wouldn't recommend this contractor to my worst enemy. Although this contractor came very highly recommended by our real estate agent, this contractor was clearly overextended and lost us a lot of time and money. He was very disorganized and kept forgetting the list of things we asked him to do, although we gave him a typed list at the start. We had moved out of our house and wanted to remodel the kitchen (existing footprint, so not a gut-job) and do a number of other odd jobs prior to listing. It has now been 6 weeks and the job is still not done. Vince failed to show up for at least six out of eight meetings with me, and those meetings for which he did show he was at least 1 hour late. I came to the house multiple times around 3-4pm on different days and at least 80% of the times no one was at the house and no work was being done. Vince ignored phone calls, texts, and emails except when he was asking us for more money. He initially said the work would be done 3 weeks ago, then when he missed that deadline he promised it would be done 2 weeks ago, then missed that deadline. We eventually had to fire him and hire two new contractors to finish the work. Our real estate agent (who recommended Vince!) said he has never been so disrespected by a contractor and will never recommend him again. Hopefully we will list our house soon. Please don't make the mistake we made.

I hired Vince and his crew at my investment rental property located in center city. I found Vince to be extremely honest along with valuable. Vince worked continuously late hours in order to meet my deadline. Vince brought new ideas which in the long run saved me money..this is unheard of from most contractors..Not many contractors share less costly ideas benefitting customers. I was pleased with the end results, especially the cost. Vince provides best pricing, while his work shows as a perfectionist. I not only found a lifetime contractor; Vince became a lifetime friend.

I recently purchaced a home in Springfield and needed several small projects done befor I moved in and Vincent was refered to me by the Realtor who sold me my home. I was so happy I met Vincent. He took care of everything I wanted done and then some. He really made me feel at ease and safe. He was very clean, neat and paticular about his work. The guys who work for Vincent are very polite and kind as well. If you need work done to your home you need to get Vincent.

Vince is an outstanding contractor with much experience. He has been doing work for me for about 8yrs. now and I would not even think about letting anyone other than Vince and his crew do any work for me. He is very very good at what he does. Definetly a perfectionist and clean. I can't tell you who to hire but I will say this if you want an honest loyal great contractor don't bother looking any further.
HE IS THE MAN!!!!

i was impressed. a friend sent him my way. i live in secane and we have our share of hacks to put it lightly. he didnt work set hours wich i wasnt use to but he got the job done and when he said he would. welln worth the money.

Vince installed a new bathroom in my home.. I'm confused at the other comments since the work Vince completed in my home was spot on. Vince also went out of his way to find me the best fixture prices. He stayed late at my home to meet the deadline. Extremely neat, perfectionist, and honest.
I wonder after reading someone's comments if other contractors find themselves jealous of someone who has unbelievable prices so they write bad comments in order to steal work.
In any case, if your looking for a contractor with GREAT prices along with perfection hire Vince.

Total Scam!! Stay away from this contractor. Was supposed to finish my deck, signed contract august 31, still not complete, plus now I have roof damage from water leaking into my garage.. Does not return calls, and has over thousands of dollars of my hard earned money!! Im currently working with a lawyer now so beware of this guy!!

I was impressed with his amount of knowledge....Vince showed up on time. When he ran into a set back he explained options in detail. Vince worked late at my home many nights to insure job being finished on time. You would never know construction was happening with how clean Vince and his crew were. His prices were fair and I couldn't of found a better team for my home. Vince went above what a contractor would normally do. He even picked up my new furniture for me. He also gave me many choices with different price points. I will alwYs have Vince for all my home improvement needs. I love my new patio along with state of the art kitchen.
